I was devastated when I heard it
Right in the doctors office
I saw it myself
Yes, the test results
Showing I was diabetic

And that meant my live was gonna change
Limited from the many activities
Things I liked doing
The many meals
Tasty ones I mean

And then the list came
A lengthy list
With so many rules
I felt so bad

Buh I was gonna adhere anyways
Life's is precious
And I'm not losing it anytime soon

I got home
I was famished
I went into the kitchen
And I knew I was gonna prepare something different
A diabetic patient meal I would say

Cocoyam and vegetable sauce with less spices
Not to my taste though
The forever recipe
Into a life of diabetes
