A place to call home

Finally we've got an abode
A place to call our own
A place to shelter us from sun and rain
After what seemed like eternity

No more payment of house dues
No more tenancy protocol
No more obligation to duties
No more expectations from a higher ranked individual
The Landlord I mean.

We've found shelter
A place of comfort and peace
Not just a home but a shield from distress
In a tranquil environment, we've found solace

Alas, I could breath in fresh air
Unpolluted oxygen I mean
In the terrains of a pure environment
One free from noise, litters and smoke

I gazed round once more
The flower pots adding beauty to the structure
The architectural structure
Looking all cozy and warm
The sun smiling elegantly on me

As I gave my speech on the house opening ceremony
I cried intensely
Not tears of joy as many would presume
But tears of strength, hanging on for so long

I could remember vividly
As the foundations were being laid
That was about 8 years ago

I smile.....
Not because I've got an abode
But because it's one of the best
In this little village of:
Hinterzarten
Here in GERMANY

A new residence
A newfound home
A new habitat
One I'm proud of
Of which I can seek solace
After the day's hurdles
