Affenberg Salem [EN/DE]

Hey guys! Actually I would currently spent the last day of my vacation at the snow white Feldberg, GER. Instead I´m glad that I could leave at least my bed yesterday after having a heavy cold and being able to sit now on my couch instead, yay. Since I wont have new pictures, I´ll tell you about a trip in 2020.

In June, we stayed a week at a farm close to Lake Constance. And if you ever visited the german part of the lake you probably have heard about the "Affenberg" (mountain of apes) in Salem. This is a very special wildlife park, where around 200 Barbary macaques are living. Once you enter the park through a huge fence, there´s nothing between you and the apes anymore. They´re peaceful, all you have to do is to keep a distance of 2 meters.

Hallo Leute! Eigentlich würde ich derzeit den letzten Tag meines Urlaubs am eingeschneiten Feldberg. Stattdessen bin ich froh, dass ich gestern nach einer schweren Erkältung wenigstens mein Bett verlassen konnte und jetzt stattdessen auf meiner Couch sitzen kann, juhu. Da ich keine neuen Bilder haben werde, erzähle ich euch von einer vergangenen Reise im Jahre 2020.

Im Juni waren wir eine Woche auf einem Bauernhof in der Nähe des Bodensees. Und wer den deutschen Teil des Sees schon einmal besucht hat, hat bestimmt schon vom Affenberg in Salem gehört. Dies ist ein ganz besonderer Wildpark, in dem rund 200 Berberaffen leben. Sobald man den Park durch einen riesigen Zaun betritt, steht nichts mehr zwischen den Gästen und den Affen. Sie sind friedlich, es müssen nur 2 Meter Abstand eingehalten werden.

Unfortunately the weather sucked, it was dark and rainy, so my photos also were dark and grainy. And I had no chance to work with a tripod, because the apes are moving and my family is not that patient as well. I hope you still get a little impression from this beautiful place.

Leider war das Wetter schlecht, es war dunkel und regnerisch, daher waren meine Fotos auch dunkel und vonschlechter Qualität. Und ich hatte keine Chance, mit einem Stativ zu arbeiten, weil sich die Affen bewegen und meine Familie auch nicht so geduldig ist. Ich hoffe, ihr bekommt trotzdem einen kleinen Eindruck von diesem schönen Ort.

Diese Affendame hat sogar ein kleines Baby zwischen ihren Armen, könnt ihr den schwarzhaarigen Kopf sehen? So bezaubernd.

After visiting the park, we also went to the monastery of Salem, which has a pretty cool maze in the garden. But this is another story...

Nach dem Park haben wir auch das Kloster Salem besucht, in dessen Garten ein ziemlich cooles Labyrinth angelegt wurde. Aber das ist eine andere Geschichte...
