The beauty of a wet day.

Water is life and we are thankful for every drop that we get.

South Africa is one of the water scarce countries and we have droughts in some areas of the country.

So you can understand that we are very appreciative of the rains that we get during our winter seasons here at the southern tip of the African continent. A solution was found in the drought stricken areas by the sinking of boreholes as apparently there are large lakes of water underground. But this cannot be a permanent solution as sooner or later the underground lakes will empty and then one can only imagine what will happen.
But I talk too much so come and look at the beauty.

Finally late afternoon and the rain clouds have disappeared.

I see beauty in most parts of life where others only see things to complain about. Yes, I do get wet occasionally, but it's not the end of the world, as my camera shots are more important. And even at the wet times I get lovely shots.
In suffering there is also beauty as a happy smile from a little child that was given some food is most beautiful to me. Not even to talk about happy tears and we see this often during our work at Papillon,
So yes, it all depends at what one looks at, or for in life.
A blessed day to all that read this!

Teardrops from heaven, smiles of joy, never heard of anyone melting in the rain, have heard of too many going to bed without.

No matter the weather life carries on, have a wonderful day and keep smiling!

No rain here appears to have passed over for now, but then we don't normally get much in winter. !LOLZ

Drat and sorry! That is the strange thing about our country, as we are on the same coastline, albeit a few miles apart, but we are in a winter rain area and very little rain in summer.
But then again we have the Atlantic ocean and you guys have the Indian ocean. !LOLZ

Can you believe that snow fell in the Kalahari? Also in the south of Namibia?
Unheard of and if I lived there I would buy some snow skis to go and ski in the desert.

Can you believe that I have never photographed a puddle yet, although I have seen many photos of lovely puddle reflections like in your images? The palm tree looks cool and I love the signal mountain reflection 😊

No, in all honesty I can't believe that you have never photographed a puddle, especially as they should have beautiful reflections in your country. So maybe a new challenge for you? 🤣 !LOLZ
Glad that you liked some of the shots and appreciated Hannes 🤗

Cheers and thanks.

Honestly, I haven't. Maybe in some landscape photos there has been a puddle, but I've never shot one intentionally.

I liked all shots, but some more than the others 😊

Hey, I believe you and maybe I had a message from Mother nature for you to take photos of puddles 😉

Thank you and I know 😂

Cheers and thanks.
