Strong winds boiling clouds on hot mountains.

When something boils it tends to rise and it is similar in nature.
039 (2).jpg

Look! The clouds swallowed the mountains. This is the first corner that we drive into from our house, and normally there is a lovely and clear sight of the mountains.

But not today, as we had a very strong wind blowing from the East, from behind the mountains. An opposing strong wind coming in from the West over the Atlantic Ocean side, blocked the clouds on the mountain range.
Our intention was to drive to the local Rape Crisis Center, but I dropped all to go and get a clearer look at the mountains. They are only 6 kilometers away from our house.

I also mention a near accident in here from photo number 7.
So, come and look.

That tower cloud in the center rose straight up as soon as it touched the mountain base.

029.JPG

See why I call them boiling clouds?
032.JPG

All steam here below.
049.JPG

And here's that tower cloud breaking through now into the sky.
057.JPG

Right, let's pop in for a quick cup of coffee.
061.JPG

But hey, watch this. The wind snapped a branch off and it almost landed on a parked car.
124.JPG

See that old dry tree? Car suicide to park under it when a wind is blowing in gusts of up to 50 kph. So we found the owner and she rushed to get her car away from that dead tree.
131.JPG

As we left the coffee place, I wanted to show you how the wind combed a palm tree's hair.
110.JPG

And then it was back, and we could only see faint outlines of the mountains.
062.JPG

098.JPG

Finally, that dancing loose little cloud at the front waved us goodbye.
137.JPG

I so wish that you could hear and see this for yourselves, as all that I can tell you is that the scenes are so magnificent to watch. A scary sight to see how a gust of wind can grab one of the big and strong oak trees and the wind shaking the big branches around like rags. Leaves and debris flying around all over the place.

Oh, I almost forgot. Here is a pastel sight of an oak tree leaf flying across the moon face.
130.JPG

Yes, I clicked too quickly, but the wind was also jerking me around :)

We have already had some large trucks blown over by the wind on the major highways, and the strength of the wind gusts has also confused many a ship captain that ended up in a lifeboat. So when these winds start to appear, it is best to find strong shelter as it can blow one right off your feet.
But of course, I like the challenge to take photos in the wind.

I hope you have enjoyed the photos and the story.

And That's All Friends.

Cape doctor back in town, blowing you all upside down!

Wisps of cloud like naughty children escaping the firm grasp of an adult to stay close, the mountains shrouded in table cloth, maybe some rain on the way today.

And today very hot, with not even a sign of the wind!

I like the way that you put this and it sounds so nice.
No rain yet and maybe on Saturday.

Thank you kindly for the tipu !LOLZ

Rain was over the sea, no touch down for us yet either!

What looked promising a couple of days ago had moved on again, nothing on the horizon for some time ahead.

Sad to hear and our dark and cool clouds have also made their way over the mountains. Not before I got some nice shots of them.

Just the thing lately on all fronts. Promises and more promises, but all empty.

I can only imagine what's going to happen on Monday. We saw an army platoon's tents going up over here and methinks that army is going to protect the farms.

Overdue with the farmers being protected.

Nope it was FUD, as the tentcamp was erected for the Cape Epic event. They will do stage 5 at the Lourensford wine farm.

Just a lot of hogwash as Julius is a master stirrer. The problem is that the syndicates might see this riot as a great opportunity to loot again.
KZN is indeed a soft spot.

At least loadshedding stopped for security and safety over the period of shutdown, now the bright sparks think there is plenty available... they won! 🙃

If it were a general shutdown for the people, not party politics, I am sure the country would come to a standstill. EFF top clowns are extremely destructive.

Pity government did nothing to assist us in July 2021 this has turned the people to only rely on each other.

Many lessons hidden in this abortive national shutdown attempt Lady Joan.
So strange that since the ex CEO is gone, we now all of a sudden have lower levels of power cuts.
You are so right as politics will not motivate anyone to join a shut down.

At least the July 21 fiasco taught the people to stand together.

Level of power cuts was to avoid problems on road in case of incidents, keeping contact as towers go down with power outages, telecommunications were needed to the available yesterday.

Not strange them leaving the power on, what is amazing they find police, army and electricity this time...., what happened July 2021 when they sat 'MUM' long before assisting to try stop unrest?

Oh yeah, the events in 2021 taught them a lot and this round they were prepared. Here in the Cape, there were very few interruptions and life continued as usual.
Funny how the power cuts simply disappeared and there is much talk about it.

That lot in KZN kept their plans a secret and not like the recent lot, as their mother of all shutdowns was a total flop. Not that they would ever agree that it was a flop.

Had it not been led by EFF I think this would have become a protest of all protests. Fact that DA marched on Luthuli House in defiance during previous month, most felt this was more political than open to all.

People are tired of being mislead, not one party strong enough to take up the baton at this point in time either.

All to do with the hidden agenda to get to the money pots, instead of serving the people. Out to score points for the election next year and the usual ton of empty promises being spread about.

Sadly, the people don't stand together at voting time and the politicians know that money talks.

We all had a dream, reality has become a nightmare, hopefully more youth learn to vote and do so in sound mind, not for a hand out.

Well, considering some of the posts in here on Hive, the whole world is in trouble. Not even to speak of the food prices these days.
Everyone is out to make a fast buck at the expense of the poor as usual, and things are really taking on an abhorrent look.

The pandemic backfired on the powers that be, most of them should be sitting in jail for what they have done to this world. WWII did not have such devastating after effects, people need to put action into words, rid ourselves of the globalist purists spreading lies.

The time is now! The banks are falling apart and I read that many billionaires are now no longer billionaires.
The reading states, do unto others as you want done to yourself.
So many doesn't know or understand this golden rule.

do unto others as you want done to yourself.

How we were taught, not sure today with everyone sticking their nose into the neighbours business instead of cleaning their own house and keeping it in good order!

So well said and over the years we had many arguments with those that wanted to go and help the poor overseas, but they are not interested in cleaning their own backyards here.

Much to be done here, if people are allowed to! No interference, more support would be appreciated.

Sadly that's exactly what is missing. The support is lacking and the interference is rife!

Look! The clouds swallowed the mountains

I'm perplexed how you could get those pictures perfectly in place and in good clarity too... That was impressive.

I hope you have enjoyed the photos and the story
