Rain at sunset.

Something abnormal that I have tried here and hope you will enjoy it.

I went outside to stand under our carport and the raindrops were cascading down from the carport roof. So why not try to get it on camera with the golden sunset in the background?
Come and look at my attempt to show you some beauty here.

The wind was busy in the trees and I decided to make this short video with the raindrops in the foreground.

Our little squirrels didn't allow the rain to separate them and their peanuts, and this wet little guy found a natural umbrella .

Finally, a golden color in our garden that I could not quite get the glow with my camera. But I think you know the idea.

Yes, it has been frightfully hot these past days, and the rain was the deal breaker as we have now had two days of water to stop the heatwave.
Things are not easy, especially to get around and the temperatures are in the high 30 degrees Celsius. But we make do as best we can, and mostly try to stay indoors out of the frying sun.

Good evening Hannes,

No, it's summer and we are in our hottest month. The rain was soft and it wasn't a storm, so it just brought us some relief from the incessant heat.
Thank you and I would have loved to be at the ocean to get the colors, but sadly I saw it too late.
The squirrels are very clever my friend 🤣 !LOLZ

We just finished planting Jasmine bushes in the garden as it's too dark to continue now.
Yes, the rain has cooled things for two days, but now we are back to the heat grindstone again.

All of us are praying for rain and so we will wait and see what happens, as it takes hope and trust.

Such is life my friend and I have answered this in a previous reply. (New service provider)

Oh yeah, spiders love warm and dark places and at the apple farm we found a nest of sac spiders under the bed. I removed them very quickly as on bite from one kills the skin and it forms a deep and open big hole under the bite. Not things to play with for sure 😉

Those drops were really falling fast! It is tough to catch and isolate a drop like you did. I love to film falling objects. I have found a fast shutter speed is a must. Say here is a drop from an icicle. Maybe that will cool you down lol.

What a lovely ice drop and you got it spot on right.
Yes shutter speeds are important an so is light, which in my case was not very favorable for taking photos.

Love when the sky goes golden like that, greens turn greener than green, smell the rain falling feel it, dance in it's glorious arrival.

Squirrel has a cute bonnet to hide under, yes food comes first!

I saw it too late Lady Joan, as if I saw it earlier we would have raced down to the beach to get that golden glow on the ocean. The fine rain is indeed very refreshing.

When golden glow it is a beautiful sight, when skies go green run for covering, nature has great signals warning. Gentle rains over yesterday and last night about 40mm which will help everything get a foothold and grow again. Promise of another couple of days then all hell lets lose once again!

Yep and one of our signals is the Halo around the sun. The darker the worse the storm.
It is the breathers that we are thankful for.
We had our Saturday planned out and then early this morning our phone rang.
So we started our day in fierce winds at the beach, a lady wanted us to take her to her doctor down there.
They call this the "White Horses"

White horses always spectacular, we can hear the sea up the valley when high seas occur.

Sometimes less is more, I have been super busy with selling a car, finding a car to drive that is suitable for my son and I to share (which we have done for the last ten years). Not always able to write and keep up all the time.

!LUV take it easy, we can only do what we are able in the time we have.

Oh yes they are lovely to see. We can only hear the sea at high tide when the wind comes from that direction, as we are 6 kilometers away.

Cars are never easy to find especially in the used market and people mostly buy another man's problems. Marian's Polo Vivo was brand new in 2015 and it has served us very well up to this day.
Of course any car without a current service history book is not worth looking at.
Hope that you will find the best car for you guys.

As the bird flies we are about one kilometer from sea, echoes up the valley when road is quiet one can hear the waves crashing.

Have settled on new, as you say buying second hand (expensive now as well), is dubious more often than not. My son and I share vehicle, which he drives more often than not.

Ah and I bet that sounds great at night when all of the traffic is gone. I would love to sleep with that sound in my ear.

A great relief, as new, although it's painful on the pocket, is always better.
Watch the paper work though as when we bought the new Polo, the registration papers stated that there was a previous owner !!!
This could not be as the kilometer reading was zero, 0.
Turned out that a salesman claimed the sale falsely to get the commission. At least that's what we were told.

Road has been closed further up for repairs at the moment, not as much traffic coming down from Pmb which is a pleasure, trucks use the route heavily through the night as a short cut down to lower South Coast and avoid Toll's.

Two years research on size, fuel consumption and price, I sure hope I got it right, old vehicle is chewing fuel! Smaller vehicle felt like a bread tin on wheels so have gone slightly larger option in price (arm and a leg).

Most vehicles off showroom floor should have some mileage with moving, never heard of car leaving the floor on zero, that would wave flags immediately!

Hope I do get to enjoy this vehicle, will be nervous at first getting back into the mayhem out there !LOLZ
