Birds and Khoi fish on show.

I have taken some unposted photos at a lake to show you in here.

The post is opened by this dad and his baby and they are Red-knobbed Coots.

Now I have shown you the Coots and Heron in previous posts, but I have not included the first two photos in here.
The meds that I take continue to play havoc with my system and things are as varied as this post is. Just a collection of bird and fish photos for you to enjoy.

A beautiful little one and the yellow colors are a sham to show predators that he is "poisonous", as he is not, but it protects him.

This Cape Cormorant had a happy fishing dive and he was singing about his success.

Amazing what one can find at lakes and I only spent a short time here. I only walked along the bottom side of the lake and will for sure return to scope it better. I also missed a blue kingfisher in the reeds as he was too fast for me. There were also many frogs about and I could hear them, but didn't have the time to search for them.
So in future I hope to bring you more pictures about the life in this lake.

Hi Zac,

some variety in between can be nice and I like your post as it is. The baby coot is lovely and next time I will try to take close ups of a cormorant too, just like you 😁

Koi are big goldfish to me, but don't tell that to the Japanese 😉

Thank you Hannes and I just wanted to do a different post with variety for a change. Glad that you liked it and yes, the baby coot is a nifty little fellow.
That's the way to think and I really hope that you will get many close ups of the cormorants and other birds 🙏

Ah yes, take the long lens, but be aware that Mother nature is watching you. If she sees the long lens she will send no birds your way 😉

Koi - brocaded carp (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koi) so I was wrong, it isn't a goldfish 🤣

Ah, so you think that Mother nature is stupid. Beware my friend as you might be in the news as the only man in Austria that ever had to flee from a raging lion in the bush. For some reason the lion escaped from a circus and the only reason was to chase a mountain goat with a camouflaged zoom lens 🤣 !LOLZ

Yeah, I remember now that I did send you the photo and glad that I don't need to go search for it again 😉

The lens is big enough to scare the lion away, I am pretty sure, and if not, then I will have a huge ring with me from now on because circus lions like to jump through rings and he might forget what he wants to do if he sees a ring 🤣 !LOLZ

Oh man, I can see that you don't know lions my friend. So you try to scare the lion and after the episode the lion arrives back home.
His wife asks him; "Joe what's that hanging around your neck" ?
"Oh this" ?, Joe says; "it is just the bum hole ring of a mountain goat that thought he was clever" 🤣 !LOLZ

As I know how big lions are the bum of mountain goats must be quite big too that the hole is big enough to hang around the neck of a lion ... I didn't say my bum is that big, did I 🤣 !LOLZ

Hahaha, you must really think a lion is stupid my friend and thank you for the loud smile, I hope that you also heard my loud smile 🤣

On the way home the lion stopped at the witchdoctor. The lion gave him a part of your body that you play rugby with and the witchdoctor stretched it into a necklace. Then on the necklace the doctor hung your bum hole as a pendant and he put the necklace around the lion's neck. Sort of like a medal. 🤣 !LOLZ

What beautiful colors on the Red-knobbed Coot baby. And the Cape Cormorant also looks amazing. Too bad that the kingfisher was too fast. Better luck next time 👍.
