Sticky Rice with Durian at the Traditional Market

Hi bloggers and community... Good afternoon, everyone. I hope you’re having a great day. Today I went shopping at a traditional market not far from my house. As usual, the traditional market is always bustling and sells everything from ingredients to ready-to-eat foods, so today I’m going to introduce one of my favorite market snacks sold at this traditional market. It’s called 'pulut durian' or sticky rice with durian. Do you guys like durian? I love durian so much.

I think sticky rice is a pretty common dish in ASEAN, it’s a favorite among many Asians because it tastes so delicious and savory, made from glutinous rice cooked in coconut milk until soft. The sticky rice with durian at this traditional market is very famous in my area—when it first went viral, people were lining up just to get a serving of this pulut durian.

Just look, they’ve even brought several baskets of durian, and many of them have already been opened, even though it’s still only 9 a.m. The pulut durian or sticky rice with durian here is quite famous for its savory and delicious flavor, as well as its thick, sweet durian flesh.

I bought two servings of pulut durian to take home, as a durian lover, a serving of this dish is a source of pure joy after shopping at the traditional market.
