My Mom My Best Friend - LOH #179

I have a lot of memorable mother-daughter relationships with my mom. I think my mom was intentional about me and my siblings because she drew us close to her; she was always part of our lives.

Growing up, I remember sharing things with my mom, like her shoes (even though now it's not possible as my shoe size is higher than hers). There was virtually nothing I could not tell my mom; there's no boy that would ask me out without me telling my mom; she knew all my friends and boyfriends; she is my gist pattern. Things a lot of girls find difficult to discuss with their mom were very easy for me.

Should I say sarcastically that my mom was my partner in crime? I could just tell her I have things I want to do or places I want to visit that my dad would not approve of, and she would cover up for me as long as what I was doing or the places I was going were not going to cause any harm to me.

Even though there were times we would argue and not agree on something, there was still this mutual understanding and respect between us.

I have to appreciate the bond and relationship between my mom and me, and I also wish to have this and more with my daughters.
