Un mensaje diario de Freewrite: Fue un gran paseo. ESP-ENG
No siempre tengo la oportunidad de pasar un buen rato con mis hijos... ya son adultos y tienen su vida hecha en otra ciudad, no obstante, de vez en cuando me dan la sorpresa de aparecer de repente e invitarme a cualquier lugar cercano, y dar un paseo y comer algo hecho a las brasas.
Pues, este, es uno de esos paseos de los que quiero hablar.
Probablemente, quienes aún sus hijos están para ser cuidados, no hayan tenido esta experiencia, pero ya mis hijos están adultos, así que cuando tengo oportunidad de hablar con ellos, hablamos más de proyectos, trabajos, metas por alcanzar y la estrategia a usar para que se logren lo antes posible. Por supuesto que les digo: "No porque te levantes más temprano, va a amanecer más rápido" no obstante, es necesario atender los asuntos más prioritarios a la brevedad posible para que sea efectivo el tiempo que se invierte en esos proyectos.
Volviendo al tema del paseo, esa mañana, vino uno de ellos, y me dijo:
— Traje un costillar para que lo hagamos asado; Vamos para el embalse, que el agua está baja y podemos ver como es cuando no está lleno.
Tomamos nuestros aperos, y nos fuimos al lugar.
Al estar comenzando el otoño, los árboles estaban deshojándose, ambiente propicio para producir un incendio, de manera que, tuvimos que limpiar el lugar muy bien para evitar que alguna chispa de las brasas encendidas, saltara a las hojas secas.
I don't always have the opportunity to spend a good time with my children... they are already adults and have made their lives in another city, however, from time to time they surprise me by suddenly appearing and inviting me to any nearby place, and take a walk and eat something made on the coals.
Well, this is one of those walks that I want to talk about.
Probably, those whose children are still to be cared for, have not had this experience, but my children are now adults, so when I have the opportunity to talk with them, we talk more about projects, jobs, goals to achieve, and the strategy to use to be achieved as soon as possible. Of course, I tell them: "Not because you get up earlier, it will dawn faster" however, it is necessary to attend to the highest priority issues as soon as possible so that the time invested in those projects is effective.
Going back to the topic of the walk, that morning, one of them came and told me:
— I brought a rib so that we can roast it; We are going to the reservoir, the water is low, and we can see what it is like when it is not full.
We took our implements, and we went to the place.
At the beginning of autumn, the trees were defoliating, an environment conducive to producing a fire, so we had to clean the place very well to prevent any sparks from the burning embers from jumping onto the dry leaves.
Sin duda alguna, fue un gran paseo. Conversamos de muchas cosas y de cómo salir adelante como extranjeros que somos; Cada proyecto, cada inversión que podemos hacer, y de algo muy importante: De la forma correcta para sacar el mayor provecho a la tecnología. La generación X (en esta me encuentro yo) que ha pasado por los más grandes cambios, cambios que fueron avistados a través de las comiquitas como Los Supersónicos, pero que la gran mayoría no creímos que veríamos en nuestras vidas.
Aprendí mucho al escuchar a mi hijo de las tantas cosas que sabe, de lo que ha aprendido en la vida y del deseo de querer triunfar en la vida, al punto que, nos unimos para emprender un nuevo proyecto juntos. Yo estoy seguro de que lo podemos lograr en el tiempo correcto y haciendo las cosas necesarias para convertir nuestros sueños en su equivalente físico.
Me siento muy orgullos de ver como ellos ya no dependen de mí, que tienen sus metas trazadas y que si necesitan algún consejo, regresan para escuchar lo que les pueda decir.
Al ver esto, creo que mi trabajo como padre, fue completo, porque la idea es que nosotros, los padres, enseñemos a nuestros hijos a que ellos mismo puedan defenderse de un mundo implacable que no les dará oportunidad ni esperará por ellos, y que las oportunidades llegan ante nuestros ojos todos los días, por lo tanto, hay que estar preparados para aprovecharlas y obtener los mayores beneficios en la vida.
Fue un gran paseo, y una buena conversación que espero volver a repetir en el futuro cercano.
Without a doubt, it was a great ride. We talked about many things and how to get ahead as foreigners that we are; Each project, each investment that we can make, and something very important: The right way to get the most out of technology. Generation X (in this I find myself) has gone through the biggest changes, changes that were seen through cartoons like The Jetsons, but that the vast majority did not believe we would see in our lives.
I learned a lot by listening to my son about the many things he knows and what he has learned in life, and the desire to want to succeed in life, to the point that we came together to undertake a new project together. I am sure that we can achieve it at the right time and by doing the necessary things to turn our dreams into their physical equivalent.
I feel very proud to see how they no longer depend on me, that they have their goals set, and that if they need any advice, they come back to listen to what I can tell them.
Seeing this, I believe that my work as a father was complete because the idea is that we, the parents, teach our children that they can defend themselves against an implacable world that will not give them a chance or wait for them and opportunities come before our eyes every day, therefore, one must be prepared to take advantage of them and obtain the greatest benefits in life.
It was a great walk and a good conversation that I hope to repeat in the near future.
