ALWAYS CHOOSE QUALITY OVER QUANTITY

It is quality rather than quantity that matters

Quality is more important than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles.

In today's fast-paced and consumption-driven society, it is easy to fall into the trap of prioritizing quantity over quality. We are constantly bombarded with messages telling us to buy more, do more, and be more, leading us to believe that success and happiness can be attained by accumulating as much as possible. However, this mindset can often lead to disappointment and frustration, as we soon realize that the things we thought would bring us joy and fulfillment are often fleeting and unsatisfying.

On the other hand, choosing quality over quantity can bring a sense of lasting satisfaction and contentment. When we prioritize quality in our choices, we are more selective and mindful about what we bring into our lives. We take the time to research and invest in the things that truly matter to us, rather than simply settling for whatever is available or convenient.

One area where this concept can be particularly relevant is in our material possessions. It is easy to get caught up in the constant cycle of buying and replacing cheap, low-quality items, but this approach can be costly and unsustainable in the long run. Instead, investing in higher-quality items that are built to last can save us time, money, and resources in the long run.

For example, a cheap and poorly made piece of furniture may need to be replaced multiple times over the course of a few years, while a higher-quality piece can last a lifetime. Similarly, investing in quality clothing and accessories can not only make us look and feel better, but they are also likely to last longer and need fewer replacements.

In addition to material possessions, choosing quality over quantity can also be beneficial in our relationships and experiences. It is easy to surround ourselves with a large number of superficial or shallow relationships, but these may not provide the depth and fulfillment that we truly desire. On the other hand, investing in a small number of deep, meaningful relationships can bring a sense of connection and support that is truly fulfilling.

Similarly, it is tempting to try to pack our schedules with as many activities and events as possible, believing that this will bring us happiness and fulfillment. However, this approach can often lead to burnout and a lack of enjoyment in the things we do. Instead, choosing to focus on a smaller number of high-quality experiences can bring a sense of satisfaction and appreciation for the things we do.

Overall, choosing quality over quantity can bring a sense of balance and fulfillment to our lives. It allows us to be more selective and mindful in our choices, and to invest in the things that truly matter to us. While it may require more time, effort, and resources upfront, the long-term benefits of this approach can be well worth it.

It curious how quality can make feel you full in some sense (satisfied), and quantity can make you feel empty (un-satisfied).
I guess most of Hivers staying for longer would prefer quality over quantity…at least that it refers to HIVE coins, ha ha.
Thank you for sharing this reflection.

You made a valid point of not choosing quantity over quality. Having to buy something of lesser price means taking a risk of making replacement of the product.

Beautiful piece you have there. I discovered over time that If you go for quantity considering your pocket power, you will at the end of the day pay double or triple for damages and repairs. It better you go for quality once and for all
