My Fear for Snakes and Everything Crawling slithering creatures

Everyone has a phobia, a fear of a particular thing, mine varied when I was at different age. For example when I was small I so much feared Heights, there is nothing that fears me more than being at a tall buildings or places, I basically feel like my world is collapsing down
immediately I looked down or something.
I don't know what is going on in that my innocent gentle heart by then lol

The worst thing about the height phobia for me was that our house then, when I was young was a two storey building, although we were on the first floor down, but as fate will have it, most of my friends in the compound are staying upstairs,to visit some of my friends then, especially a particular one, Tobi was his name, His dad made sure the Video Cassette player, has a lot of cartoon tapes available, so I had no choice than to find my way up to his place regardless of the height fright,
Boy I was always super terrified whenever am climbing the stairs, as super terrifying as it looks, because of my love for cartoons, I always find my way by crawling on both legs and hand, making sure that I didn't look down, hehe it was super tense situation for me then.

Oh I wish Daddy Tobi would just pack and move down the floor.

How did I overcome my dear of height?
My Fear of heights didn't just stopped or disappeared over night, it took my some years to finally keep my fears of height at bay.
First off, my constant visit to my friends place changed my mindset, and over the years too life got it way of helping me through.
Like I can vividly remember that my primary and secondary school was a story building too, and most of the class I was assigned was on the higher floors.
Even after Secondary school, in my university days, we have a lot of lectures at the 2nd and 3rd floors so quite often. I believe before my university day my dear of height was already gone.

But I have one Fear that I still can't understand how I can overcome.
This was the Fear of Snakes, worms, Margot's, oh my Gosh I feel so scared oven at the sight of dead snakes I can be shivering.
Of all the crawling creatures that terrifies me, there is one major animal that can give me an heart attack by just seeing it's presence, this is Snakes.
It is a crazy kind of fear, that even as big and grown up, I still have chills by the sight of snakes.

Have I ever killed a snake
Yes, once I think, this was when the poor terrifying creature was in a very deep pit. Hehe I couldn't even look into the eye of the poor helpless thing in the suck away pit.
There was a time, I saw a post online that triggered a thought in me, there was a question about snakes, that if am in the house with my wife and kids, and a snake was found at home, what would I do? I honestly can't imagine that, Me that can't even kill a snake, I can't even have the courage of picking anything before running, running as if my life depends on it lol.

Well Am just hoping to overcome this fear so that I would be able to protect my love one if such want to happen.
