Balancing finance and Love in Relationship

Welcome to my blog, Today on the Hive ghana weekly prompt, Let talk about money and Love.
This is a very important topic that needs to be carefully talked about, especially in a society where economy keeps getting bad and Marriages keeps crashing and divorce cases are being heard every where.
I will start off with this popular Nigerian qoute, am not really sure if it is actually some one's qoute but i have heard it countless of times.

Love is sweet when money is involved.

As funny as this qoute sounds, this quote is the reality of what is going on in our society.

Many people jump into marriages without getting their lives sorted together, without any stable finances or should I say a stable source of income. They go all in the name of Love.
But the bitter truth remains that love can not feed the family, love can not buy baby foods and baby clothes, love can not maintain Madam's hair and body, love can not pay the childrens school fees, love can not pay the bills from family, even the in-laws too.

The Rate at which the economy is deteriorating is Alarming. I would be using Nigerian Economy as a typical example. A thousand naira (1000 naira) is the highest denomination of Money. Having one thousand naira 10 years ago can feed for 2 days sometimes. You can be able to buy the big family Loafs and even butter or Canned fish. Fast forward to now, a thousand naira van even buy one family Loaf of bread, it has lost so much value, that you have to pay twice now.

Financial Stability
Financial stability in layman's terms is when you have control of your finance, you have a backup business or source of income, you don't owe any debt and or you have some funds saved for the future needs.
Financial stability can't be over emphasized in Marriages. Having adequate financial knowledge, some people even spends much money for weddings that would last for just a day, after spending so much they Ended up being broke after the lavish and extravagant wedding. If you are planning for weddings, make sure you have enough money to Go to the real phase of Marriage, which is building a Home.

Love
Yes it is Good for Every family to be filled with Love, in fact it is important for both parties (Man and woman) to love each other.
Being in love means sacrifices to bear each others burdens, to respect each other, to know each other differences and still accept to bear with each other. Love can help to cover a lot of lapses in marriages, but there is still more.

Understanding, Discipline and Respect
Don't confuse love with understanding in Marriage.
Understanding encompasses empathizing with your partner, his or her emotions, thoughts, and experiences are put into consideration,
Understanding in marriage means making an effort to communicate and relate all this emotions and feelings to them effectively. It involves listening, respecting differences, and valuing their perspective.

In conclusion
To me for a marriage to be successful there is need to be Enough Money that can sustain both the husband, wife and the children, there should be love, understanding, discipline and respect.
