Welcome to my blog and another wonderful edition of the hive learners featured post, a lot of people prefer a full time employment and in most cases don't do any other thing except working for their employer, casting all their eggs in one basket.

With how bad our economy gets everyday, I don't think it's a good idea to cast all your eggs in one basket, diversifying one's source of income is the key to staying afloat in this country and even around the globe.

You never know what the future holds, incase one goes down the other keeps you afloat just like we all experienced during the pandemic lockdown, those who are freelancers were still working from home and making a Living while those who are full time employees were left to their fate.

Taking up a full time job that gives you little or no time to do other things that can help you diversify you source of income is no good for one's financial growth, just one source of income cannot help one achieve financial stability unless the inflow from this single source is huge and outweighs your responsibilities and expenses.

As for me if I am ever given the opportunity to pick between a full time job and a freelancer, I bet I'd go for a freelancer. Below are few reasons I'd like to work as a freelancer and not a full time employee.

Who Is A Freelancer.

A freelancer is one who makes his/her money by carrying out a task or two for a company or an individual, freelancers usually work short term, that is to say they have no long term commitment to a single employer.

  • Diversified Sources Of Cash Flow: Some freelancers have multiple skills and can take up multiple projects and work on them all at the same time. The more skills you posses, is the more money you will be making from taking up multiple projects from different clients.

  • In Charge Of Oneself: As a freelancer you become your own boss, you decide who you want to work with. The moment you figure out a client will be difficult to handle it is up to you, to either cut the deal off or push through with the deal.

  • More Knowledge Gained: As a freelancer every project you work on has something new to taech you, from here you gain more knowledge and work on your skills.

  • Worldwide Acknowledgement: Freelancers are acknowledged everywhere around the globe, as a freelancer a project to work on can come from either within your country or from outside your country.

Freelancing is the way nowadays. I myself is still a corporate slave working 8 to 5 and it is quite hard. Good thing that we are in permanent work from home due to the pandemic.

What I truly love about being a freelancer is Diversified Sources Of Cash Flow though I am still tied with my job I am accepting some gigs that helped me to pay off some of the expenses and even for the investments that we plan to.

The thing I like best about freelancing is being 'In charge' of oneself which may also have demerits.

That notwithstanding, you made nice points. Thanks!

Everything that has merits has its own demerits as well, it's up to us to go for what we want.

Thanks for reading my post.

freelancing is indeed the best, it makes life easy as you can do your work at a time convenient for you and your money is yours, no one is sharing it with you...

Working at your own time is what makes life as a freelancer wonderful, you don't have to explain yourself to anyone, you are your own boss.

These is such an insightful analysis, indeed freelancer tend to spend less time and had less commitment to organisation and what else do we are cheerish than to work under a platform that opens us to a possibility of earning from multiple stream.

Freelancing has been my ideal choice and now I've seen more reasons to stick to it, knowing that I can obtain more knowledge and be independent.

Nice one @offia66 👍👍👍
