Christmas market in Forte dei marmi/ Mercados navideños en Forte dei marmi.

Here I am with another post about Christmas which unfortunately is over. Despite the cold and the people who are no longer here, I still really like the Christmas atmosphere. Forte Dei Marmi is a seaside town in my beautiful Tuscany about a couple of hours' journey from here, the place is a tourist destination not only for the summer sea but also for the streets full of luxury shops. We went there for the Christmas markets which, although small, are very nice, also here every Sunday there is a very large market with accessories, clothes and crafts. As soon as we arrived we immediately explored the stalls full of Christmas objects, many cute and particular things.

Aquí estoy con otro post sobre Navidad que lamentablemente ya se acabó. A pesar del frío y de la gente que ya no está, todavía me gusta mucho el ambiente navideño. Forte Dei Marmi es una ciudad costera en mi hermosa Toscana a un par de horas de viaje desde aquí, el lugar es un destino turístico no solo por el mar de verano sino también por las calles llenas de tiendas de lujo. Fuimos allí por los mercadillos navideños que aunque pequeños son muy bonitos, además aquí todos los domingos hay un mercadillo muy grande con complementos, ropa y artesanía. Tan pronto como llegamos exploramos inmediatamente los puestos llenos de objetos navideños, muchas cosas lindas y particulares.

This city, in addition to the coastal area where the markets take place and where in the summer everyone goes to do seaside activities, has a fairly anonymous center but with a defensive fort to which it owes its name. In past years this place was very fashionable even for VIPs today it is a place mostly for tourists or people like me from the region who want to take a walk near the sea in peace. We too, after a short walk to the markets where I admired many things but didn't buy anything, not because the prices were quite affordable but because I already have too many decorative objects at home, we headed towards the sea for a walk to admire the sea in winter which in my opinion is truly beautiful and romantic. This city also has many lovely villas and cottages to see but few other historic buildings, it is also a port for some ferries heading to Liguria, let's say it is a good place to base yourself to visit other cities, it is also quite close to Lucca. For us it was a pleasant little trip, the Christmas decorations in the city were lovely and the markets even more so, plus seeing the sea is always nice for me as I live far away from it!

Esta ciudad, además de la zona costera donde tienen lugar los mercados y donde en verano todo el mundo acude a realizar actividades marineras, tiene un centro bastante anónimo pero con un fuerte defensivo al que debe su nombre. En años pasados este lugar estaba muy de moda incluso para VIPs hoy en día es un lugar mayoritariamente para turistas o gente como yo de la región que quiere dar un paseo cerca del mar en paz. Nosotros también, después de un corto paseo por los mercados donde admiré muchas cosas pero no compré nada, no porque los precios fueran bastante asequibles sino porque ya tengo demasiados objetos decorativos en casa, nos dirigimos hacia el mar a dar un paseo para admirar el mar en invierno que en mi opinión es verdaderamente hermoso y romántico. Esta ciudad también tiene muchas villas y cabañas encantadoras para ver, pero algunos otros edificios históricos, también es un puerto para algunos ferries que se dirigen a Liguria, digamos que es un buen lugar como base para visitar otras ciudades, también está bastante cerca de Lucca. Para nosotros fue un pequeño viaje agradable, las decoraciones navideñas en la ciudad eran preciosas y los mercados aún más, además ver el mar siempre es agradable para mí ya que vivo lejos de él.
