WHAT I DO OUTSIDE HIVE LIFE || Ladies of Hive Community Contest #88

Hey amiable ladies, how is your new week going? This week's prompt by @brittandjosie got me thinking oo. She wants to know what the ladies do outside hive, hahaha. This is adventurous and here we are 🤩.

Take me with you on one day this coming week. You must be in at least 3 pictures!
I want to see what you do in a day!

Let's see what lady @nkemakonam89 does in a day, smiles...😊

Today has been a fruitful day for me so far, I started my day in the kitchen by preparing a yummy 😋 meal for my family, and I. What do you expect a stay-at-home mum to do if not to, first of all, attend to the kitchen duties and ensure that all the members of the family are energized for the day's activities..lolz

The first mission for the day was achieved! So I logged on to my hive account replied to my comments, engaged in people's posts, and posted as well. Next on the list of my today's activities is my training in sewing!

Over the past two months, I enrolled in learning tailoring work.

I aimed to acquire sewing skill and use it for myself and my family and not necessarily sewing for business. This is because I got a sewing machine as a gift when I did my white wedding 8 years ago and seeing the machine being unuseful doesn't make any sense to me. Hence, this pushed me into acquiring this skill. So every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are for acquiring this skill and my tutor is doing just well in lecturing me. It's usually a two-hour training so I can attend to other chores at home.

Today, I learned about drafting a basic bodice for different shapes, though haven't gotten it very right but then, with much practice, I should be able to get good at it🤩

Unlike the manual sewing machine which is more stressful to use, this electrical type makes sewing easier though sewing generally isn't an easy peasy something 🤩🤩. Some time in the last 3 weeks, I nearly quit this training ...hahaha. The calculations involved to sew good clothes aren't for the faint-hearted, hehehe buuuuuttttt, I refuse to give up!! Although getting this training done will take me a long time since I spend only 2 hours on it thrice weekly.

I came back home almost the same time with my kids who went to school. Gosh!!! It was another hectic time for me. Getting them to freshen up, eat and guide them to do their homework took another two and half hours. Finally, I am back to my screen making this post, the time is 6:50 pm Nigeria time now and once I post, I will engage with other people's post as well, take my dinner and call it a wrap for the day, yah!!!💃💃

Your day outside Hive is interesting, I must say. Being a stay at home mom isn't easy though but at least you have got to attend to things in the house and also take care of your children. Another great thing is you learning a useful skill of sewing. Good luck to you ma.

Yesooo Busayo sweetie...staying at home wasn't what I planned for my life but circumstances made it so though temporarily and so I had to utilize my time, take advantage of my challenge and move on.

wow, I bet that you would be awesome at cooking. I think it is a great idea for you to learn sewing. Even though you are not doing it for business it is still of financial benefit to your family. Y'all would not have to be spending on going to sew outside again which would help save some money.

Wow, you know basic sewing... that's fantastic ma. Lots of ladies around me find this skill acquisition so interesting these days and I am happy to get involved as well.

Time is always a challenge I understand 🤩, only if there will be more than 24 hours in a day, we will be able to achieve many things though,that won't be possible, hahah🤩🤩

This is really interesting, acquiring skills outside you stay at home work and hiving too. I have always wanted to learn how to sew but I guess I need to push hard towards it.

It's obvious you are hardworking.

A very hectic day but you look radiant and that's good.

Sewing is a pending task for me, I like it a lot but it's more what I don't sew than what I do. Having the machine is a great advantage.

Doing everything and having time for Hive is a challenge. Congratulations.

Oh wow , you are amazing , this is great i love seeing these work days, and what the ladiesofhive hive do each day.
The fact that you are a cook, a mum and a sewer is what i love, because i am that too.
The sewing classes is do are with the ladies from church and two hours on wednesday and not during the summer. We have projects though. I love to sew on my machine which was a gift from my mother in law. And i love to embroider.
