My story today... The development of a little caterpillar.

Hello everyone! Today I have a story to share about the development of a little caterpillar. You could call it a sequel. It survived for several days thanks to the flock of little birds that like to fly around my house and trees. From a tiny brown caterpillar, it has now grown into a larger, dark green caterpillar, the same color as a kaffir lime leaf.
This morning the sky is overcast because it rained last night. It's still not very bright. After dropping the kids off, I usually stop by the lime tree to check on the little caterpillar. I'd checked before but didn't see it; I thought a bird had eaten it. But today it's back, all green again! Hmm, or maybe it's not the same one? Hehe. I'm not sure, but it's clinging to the same spot, not moving, so I think it's probably the same caterpillar. Where did it go to sleep? It finished eating and left droppings all over the lime leaves. That little clinging might be good fertilizer for my little tree!

The young kaffir lime leaves are sprouting new shoots, and they're bearing small white flowers. In a few days, these will produce kaffir limes, which can be used in cooking or sliced thinly and placed in damp areas to enhance their aroma. However, today, many of them have been eaten away by tiny caterpillars, leaving numerous gaps. Luckily, these caterpillars only eat the young leaves, not the flowers.

I carefully followed the trail of the tiny caterpillar by looking at the notched kaffir lime leaves, one by one, until I saw numerous clumps of excrement the caterpillar had left. Then, I carefully parted each leaf until I found a larger caterpillar, now dark green, clinging motionless to a kaffir lime leaf.

Wow, wow, wow! My little caterpillar has grown so much bigger today than yesterday. It's become a green caterpillar, the same color as a kaffir lime leaf. If you don't look closely, you might not even see it. I secretly think that if I ever sit on the grass under this kaffir lime tree, I'll have to be constantly on guard, wondering when that big caterpillar will jump onto my head! Haha, it's kind of scary, isn't it? It gives me the creeps!

Look at that little caterpillar, staring intently... It's not moving its mouth, not even to bite the leaves. It's standing still, but its eyes... you could think they're scary or cute, but I wouldn't touch or handle it. I could just watch it grow on the lime tree, but I wouldn't. Because every life has meaning, so I'll let life unfold according to its fate. And so, I've spent quite a bit of time with the little caterpillar. It's time to say goodbye, and I just softly told it to survive and escape from the birds and crabs, because I still want to see it grow in the future. Okay, friends, I have to say goodbye now because the sun is coming out, and the caterpillar is probably wary of me, so it doesn't dare move anywhere. See you again in the next article! Let's see what story I'll tell you next. For today, I have to go. Bye-bye everyone... Oh, I almost forgot, thank you for your wonderful support... love love...

Beautiful garden observation, as a gardener also I enjoy watching nature closely. Caterpillars damage leaves and fruit of our vegetables and plants but they are part of the gardening.
