Hello Feathered Friends Lovers

I hope you all had wonderful holiday season, lots of fun and joy. I wish you this year to bring you more joy, days full with laughter, happiness for you and your families.

Welcome again to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest!

I am pleased to open round 50 of the contest. After some break I will start the first challenge for this year with photos of wet birds. I was waiting for the right moment to find birds that will fit for such prompt, suggested by @corvidae. Recently we had some rainy days and I got my wet models - the great and blue tit.

And here we go, the new theme for this round is:

WET BIRDS

Now let me see your photos of birds, but first read the rules below⬇️

Rules

Show me your photo of a bird, following these rules:

  • The photo must be your own.
  • Post in the community Feathered Friends
  • You may add more photos, but you should state which one is your entry, otherwise the first will be taken into account.
  • Tell us something about your photo/s.
  • Your photo must follow the weekly theme.
  • Please put the link of your entry in the comment section of the contest post here.
  • Put in the title of your post that this is an entry for the contest. (Optional)
  • Use #smap as a tag.

Last, but not least - have fun!

If you create quality post with more images and interesting story about them, making extra effort can give you bigger upvotes and attract curators. Keep that in mind.

Prizes

Five winners and each winner will receive 2 Hive or 2 HBD (it depends on the price of Hive) and 100 Ecency POINTS.

I would like to thank our judge @oks2crypto, who is doing such a great job and help choosing among all entries the winners.

Huge thank you Feathered Friends Community and @melinda010100 for sponsoring the contest. I should not miss to mention our most talented artist @barbara-orenya for her constant and creative support.

I would like to thank @erikah for the generous donation of Ecency Points.

Diving straight into 2022 coming up wet should be a fun topic to see bedraggled birds in, oh some are just plain sleek looking after feathers when using waterways.

Thanks @nelinoeva and may 2022 be a wonderful year in @hive-106444 Feathered Friends.

Happy New Year, @qwerrie!
I guess some can find wet birds in the ponds and lakes.

and rain could do the job too...
this sounds legit and plausible, but I remember that feathers have the property of non-wetting :)))
so, the task still will be a bit tricky

I am often amazed to see that people finally have (or manage to take) pictures of each theme around birds .... I think it really challenges them and that is what amuses them, so something that you can think can be difficult will maybe just be an interesting challenge ...😉
luckily we have really passionate people in this community and I think they already have a lot of pictures already taken and they find for you the ones that match to the challenge ...
in fact, it would be interesting to know how the ones and the others proceed, indeed ...🤔

I am so grateful to all who took part and made the contest so successful. Last year was really fantastic with so many and marvelous entries. Indeed, it may seem I chose some hard themes, but then we got such wonderful acceptance and photos of birds from all around the world, that made me truely happy.

Who made this chickadee wet? Was she swimming in the water or was it raining heavily?

I don't know, it was raining, but my guess is, the birds wahed in the puddles.
