It would be nice to have a backyard winery. My backyard is over an acre of land. We have wild grapes growing everywhere on our 2 acres, I make jelly from them every June. That is when they get ripe. I have never made wine from them but I know it can be done.

For over a year now my husband has been making his own beer and hard seltzer. I am not much of a drinker but every once in a while I will drink some of the hard seltzer but I add the flavoring that you put in water to it. He has made wine before but he is not big on drinking wine.

Back to my backyard winery. First I would need to combat all of the unwanted foliage that is growing back there. Back when we first moved here we bought a tractor with a mower on the back of it. This made it easy to keep the back acre cleared. But money got tight and my husband sold the tractor.

All I have now is my trusty spade. It would take a long long long time for me to get it cleared. I could see it, by the time I get it all cleared, it would be again time to clear where I started.

A girl can dream, after I get the backyard all cleared, I can see it in my head. I would plant bird of paradise flowers all around, I would have a circle of chairs that when you sat in them, you would not want to get out of. Oh, and a fire pit with shiny things in them so when lit they shimmer and shined.

To top it off I would have one of the old fishermen to be a storyteller, he could tell this younger generation about how things were, way back then. I know a few who would do this for the price of all the wine that they could drink.
