Can't wait anymore for another Summer of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is a country of diverse agricultural resources, where numerous fruits are grown and enjoyed by the locals and visitors alike. The tropical climate and fertile soil of the country provide favorable conditions for growing various fruits, which are not only delicious but also packed with essential nutrients.

Mango is undoubtedly the most popular fruit of Bangladesh. The country is known for producing some of the best varieties of mangoes in the world. The most famous mango variety in Bangladesh is the Himsagar, which is grown primarily in the southern part of the country. Himsagar is a juicy and sweet mango with a distinctive flavor and aroma. Other popular mango varieties in Bangladesh include Langra, Gopalbhog, Fazli, and Amrapali. We have more than 20 mangoo trees with verities of tests.

Another widely grown fruit in Bangladesh is the jackfruit. It is a large and spiky fruit, which is native to South Asia. The fruit has a fibrous and fleshy interior, which is sweet and flavorful. Jackfruit is used in a variety of dishes, including curries, stews, and desserts. It is also enjoyed as a snack when ripe, and the seeds are often roasted and eaten. Due to flood in 1988 & 1998 we have lost most of the Jackfruit trees, only two trees left which are giving more or less 25-30 fruits per year.

Bananas are enjoyed as a snack, and they are also used in cooking. In rural areas, banana leaves are used as a natural wrapper for cooking rice, fish, and vegetables although we don't have a Banana tree left.

Papaya is another popular fruit in Bangladesh. The fruit is rich in vitamins and minerals and has a sweet and juicy flesh. Papaya is eaten raw, as a snack or in salads, and it is also used to make refreshing juices and smoothies.
