Fata Morgana? / MIRAGE? 🤔

Wenn das Bier nicht zum Propheten kommt, dann muss der Prophet halt zum Bier!
Seitdem der Belgier umgezogen ist und die Biere nicht mehr wie selbstverständlich ins Haus geflattert kommen, muss ich nun wieder ran, mir meinen Bölkstoff selbst besorgen.
Normalerweise hat irgendein Supermarkt immer eine neue Überraschung parat, diesmal aber wurde ich woanders fündig.

Since the Belgian has moved and the beers no longer come as a matter, of course, fluttered into the house, I must now again run, get me my beer itself.
Usually, some supermarket always has a new surprise ready, but this time I found it somewhere else.

Trotz meines Strohhutes, den Spötter gerne Erich Honecker Hut nennen, knallte mir die Sonne aufs Hirn und beim Blick über den restlos ausgetrockneten Tümpel glaubte ich erst an eine Fata Morgana, als ich inmitten der Teichwüste eine Bierflasche stehen sah.
Als ich mich ihr langsam näherte war die Freude groß, keine Einbildung, sondern eine kleine Oase inmitten der Tristesse offenbarte sich dort.

Neugierig betrachtete ich das Fläschchen, fand keinerlei Hinweise darauf was sich in ihm befand, da es sich nicht mit einem Etikett schmückte. So überlegte ich nicht lange, biss den Korken vom Flaschenhals und die austretenden Aromen welche sich in der stickigen Luft verteilten, ließen keinen Zweifel daran aufkommen es hier tatsächlich mit einem Bier zu tun zu haben.
Freudig erregt schenkte ich ein, nahm einen Schluck und fühlte mich sofort wie im Paradies, auch wenn es dort wahrscheinlich nicht so trostlos aussieht.

Curious, I looked at the bottle but found no clues as to what was in it, since it was not adorned with a label. So I did not think long, bit the cork from the neck of the bottle, and the escaping aromas which were distributed in the stuffy air left no doubt that this was indeed a beer.
Joyfully excited, I poured, took a sip, and immediately felt like in paradise, even if it probably does not look so bleak there.

Ein edles Tröpfchen, wunderschön anzusehen und neben dem obligatorischen Hopfen kitzelte ein sehr ungewohntes, durchaus interessantes Aroma am Gaumen, welches diesem Bier eine sehr extravagante aber angenehme Note verlieh. Was sich dort ins Braufass verirrt hatte konnte ich nicht klar identifizieren, sollte aber später aufgeklärt werden.

A noble droplet, beautiful to look at and besides the obligatory hops, a very unusual but quite interesting aroma tickled the palate, giving this beer a very extravagant but pleasant note. What had strayed into the brewing barrel there, I could not identify but should be clarified later.

Natürlich geriet die Flasche nicht von Zauberhand geführt in das ausgetrocknete Loch, sondern wurde von mir, aus fototechnischen Gründen dort platziert.
Gespendet hat mir diese Köstlichkeit der befreundete Hesse, der hier in diesem Rahmen auch schon einmal vorgestellt wurde, da er über eine unglaubliche Bier Sammlung verfügt und mich hin und wieder einlud, seine Schätze zu verkosten.
Diesmal schenkte er mir das Baby seines ersten, eigenen Brauversuches.
So ich aus Erfahrung weiß, das es beim ersten mal immer weh tut, da die ersten Anläufe beim Bier brauen doch meistens in die Hose gehen, auch wenn man es sich selbst nicht eingestehen möchte und sich seine Plörre einfach schön redet, war ich sehr überrascht was der Frankfurter Junge da gemeistert hat.

This delicacy was donated to me by a friend of mine, who has already been introduced here in this context, as he has an incredible beer collection and has invited me from time to time to taste his treasures.
This time he gave me the baby of his first, own brewing attempt.
Since I know from experience that it always hurts the first time, because the first attempts at brewing beer usually go in the pants, even if you do not want to admit it to yourself and convince yourself to have brewed something fine, I was very surprised what the Frankfurt boy has mastered there.

Das PALE ALE welches den Namen BARLAVENTO BRÄU trägt, wie mir der stolze Brauer verriet, ist ein wahres Meisterwerk. Mit 5% Vol/Alc bestückt, der gesunden Farbe und einem wirklich einzigartigen, angenehm prickelnden Geschmack, der wie ich nun erfuhr durch die Beigabe von etwas Fenchel entstand, eroberte es mein Herz im Sturm und ich krönte den Hessen zum lokalen Brauer des Jahres. Der Mann hat Zukunft in der Welt der Biere und ich hoffe auch seine zukünftigen Gehversuche in der Braukunst mitverfolgen, beziehungsweise verkosten zu dürfen.

The PALE ALE which bears the name BARLAVENTO BREW, as the proud brewer told me, is a true masterpiece. With 5% Vol/Alc equipped, the healthy color, and a truly unique, pleasantly tingling taste, which I now learned was created by the addition of some fennel, it took my heart by storm and I crowned the Hessian the local brewer of the year. The man has a future in the world of beer and I hope to be able to follow his future attempts in the art of brewing, respectively to taste.
