Thinking of Autumn

I love going for long walks. Depending on my mood, I prefer to go alone or with only one friend. I have always enjoyed nature but the older I get the more I appreciate it. Hmmm
I enjoy it so much that sometimes I need to remind myself that I need to walk the same distance back.

My favorite season to go walking is autumn. Why am I thinking of autumn whilst in summer? Well the weather has been so unpredictable – it reminds me of fall. In my balcony garden the strawberry plants are already changing to lovely fall colours.

The cooler weather and rain also remind me of my favorite season. The plants are just as confused as I am. However, we cannot change the weather so we take it as it comes.

This fall day was overcast but not dark.

The grey skies felt cozy and added to the beauty of the surroundings.

I love when walking paths meander along a pond, stream,

or lake.

I admired these lofty trees whose fallen leaves formed padded paths.

On the walk, I saw a few cyclists, other walkers, joggers and horse-back riders.

Further along - I met this herd of goats. They were walking straight towards me. They were as curious as I was.

They stopped, stared, then walked on.

I walked on as well - passing streams

and under covered pathways.

Upon spotting this small bridge across the lake, I knew my walk was almost over.

Being in the great outdoors does a lot for me. I always feel better as soon as I am out in nature. It doesn't matter if I am at a park in the city or deep in the woods. I feel calmer and lighter. By the time my walk in nature is over, I feel refresh, restored and energized.

I am looking forward to autumn.

I love being outdoor too but in an environment that would make me feel comfortable which is in the arms of nature.

Every season comes with its beauty and we just can't help but love them all even though we have favourites.

The shots are amazing, do you ride horse too???

Yes you are right - all seasons have something special to offer. I guess when winter comes I will tell u I love that too as I love seeing snow. Then in spring - I loves seeing all the freshly green leaves. During summer everything is glorious. Anyway, walking in autumn is just scenic.

I learnt horseback riding a long time ago and I enjoyed it. Do you ride a horse?

It is beautiful the place. It should be a lot of fun riding there or walking like you. Although in my country you do not see the 4 seasons, my favorite is also autumn ❤️

Yes it is lovely and peaceful. Autumn is gorgeous even on photos - especially of North America.

My favourite season is the rainy season which is summer, although am not sure we experience autumn over here.

A walk in nature is an antidote in reducing stress and rejuvenating, the beautiful sight of nature, the amazing sounds of the birds, the soothing feel of the cool breeze on the skin. I enjoy taking a walk alone but sometimes I invite my husband to go with me.

The connection we get from what we see, feel and hear bonds us to nature's delight.

These Images are beautiful and also an awesome place for a walk.

Thank you @ginika- your walk sounds like a lovely spring walk here. In autumn the birds are almost all gone because they anticipate winter. The wind is cold not cool by then.

I think you a tropical climate with rainy and dry seasons. Nature and weather is so amazing.

We don't have fall here but I can see why you love the season. The colors, coolness, beautiful atmosphere, the carpet of fallen leaves or foliage and so on❤

Many thanks @ifarmgirl. Fall here is beautiful but I have seen astoundingly lovely fall colours in North America where there are an abundance and variety of Maple trees - it is like a different type of "flower"s for the season.

Yes, in some places like Canada and the US, the fall colors are so rich although I've only seen them in photos.

Nature is refreshing. It's the best place to be especially when one needs to reduce stress and feel better. The tranquility over there makes one feel calmer as well. I love all the seasons, I feel they have special things to offer😍

All the seasons are indeed lovely. Maybe when the snow arrives - I will tell you winter is my favorite. No - I love them all but walking in autumn is indeed my favorite.

I always enjoy autumn, too, and each year I have hope that it lasts a long time before winter begins! Lovely photos!

Autumn colours have their own beauty, the leaves and the skies. It is just a damn nuisance having to sweep up the leaves in the garden!

I did invest once in one of those garden sucker/blower things, what a waste of money that was, now reverted back to a spring rake far better

I myself am very fond of seeing beautiful sights like this every day and I also go with my friends every day and then tell in my post where I went and what I saw, so all these sights. What you have shared with us is very beautiful and it makes one's heart happy to see the natural things.
