169LOH: Sticking with my budget

Budgeting has been one of the important traits I learned from my parents. My parents are average salary earners, so they usually budget themselves and spend according to what they earn. I've been trained to plan myself ahead in whatever I intend to do, so making a list of my expenses I've been helping me since childhood and I can proudly say that I'm always debt free, no one can say I owe him or her a dime because I always stick with my budget and never go beyond my capacity.

One of the essential things I take seriously is savings, I can't do without savings per month no matter how little it might be. Savings usually help in case of emergency, in which one will have something to fall back to and I can attest to it that it really pay to save.

To be more committed to savings, I joined a cooperative society so that it will be mandatory for me to send my savings to the association purse. I love living independently and hate been broke, so I don't take savings with levity at all.

I've also disciplined myself never to spend beyond my capacity, so I try to see things that aren't in my budget as been unnecessary till I'm financially bouyant and decide whether to get it or not.

So I always stick to my written budget and arrange them according to the scale of preference. I bought important things that are readily needed by me and I avoid overspending so as not to be indebted.

Lastly, I don't covetous on other people's properties. Though when I see good things I appreciate and admire it but I don't wish for others'possessions with eagerness.

Covetousness leads to indebtedness, so for me to be on track with my budget I've learned never to covet on things but to stick with my budget and work towards whatever I needed through savings and planning ahead.
