Despite the risks, it’s a beautiful and eye-catching insect. I found this specimen in a square near where I live and stopped to take some photos. There was a playground nearby, full of children, so I was lucky to pass by. After photographing it, I took a piece of paper and moved it further away, avoiding accidents with the children and giving it the opportunity to fulfill its metamorphosis and turn into a beautiful moth.

It’s amazing to see a bit of nature in an urban environment, but danger is often present. Those who are unfamiliar can end up suffering. I hope this was the only specimen in the area, it would be terrible if someone touched this caterpillar by accident, considering its vibrant and beautiful colors.
