This title photo was a tamed seagull that came to my side as if saying "come on...feed me!"

Bernau at Chiemsee

Today is Friday and this is my contribution to the community. Most of these birds were just curious to know what was in store for them and to see whether there were plenty of tourists stopping by to take the break along the highway. It meant for them food! We had been here many times visiting relatives in Bavaria. I was on my way to Erding to visit my niece who is a registered nurse there. Erding is what they call in German "Landkreis", a district in Bavaria where the Munich International Airport is located. They have their own hospital named Klinikum Landkreis Erding and this is where my niece works. It took me four hours to drive from Vienna to reach the nurses´s home which is in the vicinity of the hospital.

They were lining the stone when I came by, waiting!

With pretty eyes, waiting for anyone´s action...

The Break....

After a three-hour drive... I made a break, (it was my 2nd) and took off the highway to an off-road parking and resting area for travellers. It is at the other end of the Chiemsee and the name of the town is Bernau. The birds knew that tourists take their breaks to eat something...so the birds always come near hoping to be fed by everyone, they were used to this exercise day after day. Tourists of course feed them so they come and go.

Waiting for the reward...

The ducks were also there and as you can see in the images, they looked at me in the eye kind of they wanted to partake in what I was eating! It was a chance for me to take out the camera and click and click. It didn´t even bother them whether I was nearing close to some of them, most probably they are only interested in the food.

All the birds were peaceful and "hand in hand" they moved back and fort hoping they would get a piece of the pie....

That´s it for now...I hope you´ve enjoyed these images and wish you all a happy weekend ahead.... `til then, see you around and happy birding!

They are too cute! Hoping here in the Philippines there will be like this area. Reminds me when we were in Australia at Jenolan Caves we were resting, birds flew over us, waiting to be feed.

Yes, the birds are already used to humans because they know they´ll get some food.

Indeed, there were many of them but they are scattered in this area because this off raod area is long-stretched.

The seagull looks so calm and welcoming unlike here in PH birds are elusive to hoomans,
they 've sense danger they could be fried anytime, lol!
Glad that you've got some photos of these tamed feathered friends over there.
