A very tropical drink : Lemonade with coconut milk 🍋 🥥[ ENG - ESP]

I'm here today to show you how I made this coconut milk lemonade. While looking for recipes to make, I came across this one, originally called Limonada de Coco, which is a very popular drink in Colombia. This version of lemonade has a strong coconut flavour, rich but not too strong, which complements the acidity of the lemon well, creating a very tropical, creamy and refreshing sensation that is very different from what we know as traditional lemonade made only with lemon.

Hoy estoy aquí para mostrarte cómo hice esta Limonada con leche de coco, buscando recetas para hacer, me encontré con ésta , originalmente llamada Limonada de Coco y que es una bebida muy popular en Colombia. Esta versión de limonada tiene marcado su sabor a coco, rico pero no demasiado fuerte, que complementa bien con la acidez del limón, creando una sensación muy tropical, cremosa y refrescante que es muy diferente a lo que nosotros conocemos como la limonada tradicional hecha solo con limón.
This drink is also prepared by adding other ingredients such as condensed milk, evaporated milk, whole milk, for a thicker and sweeter drink.
And although I had the coconut to make the natural milk, the process of breaking the coconut and extracting the milk involves a little more work, so I preferred to buy packaged coconut milk to save time and to make it creamier due to the thickness that this product provides.
Esta bebida también la preparan añadiendo otros tipos de leches como condensada, evaporada y leches líquidas animal o vegetal.
Y aunque tenía el coco para hacer la leche natural, el proceso de partir de coco y extraer la leche, implica un poco más de trabajo, por eso preferí comprar la leche de coco envasada para ahorrarme tiempo y que quedara más cremosa por el espesor que aporta este producto.

| 04 big lemons | 04 limones grandes |
| 1 can coconut milk | 1 lata de leche de coco |
| sugar or sweetener to taste | azúcar o edulcorante al gusto |
| 1 cup of water | 1 taza de agua |
| Ice cubes | Cubos de hielo |

STEP 1 :The first thing to do is to cut and squeeze the lemons. Also cut some lemon wheels and set aside to use as a garnish at the end.
PASO 1: Lo primero que hay que hacer es cortar y exprimir los limones. Cortar también unas rueditas de limón y reservar para decorar al final.
STEP 2: Put the coconut milk, water, lemon juice, sugar and ice in a blender and blend well until you get a creamy, slushy texture. As a reference, I used 03 tablespoons of sugar for the amount of lemon I used because the lemons were large and had a lot of juice.
PASO 2: Poner la leche de coco, el agua, el zumo de limón, el azúcar y el hielo en la licuadora y mezclar bien hasta obtener una textura cremosa y granizada. Como referencia usé 03 cucharadas de azúcar por la cantidad de limón que usé porque los limones eran grandes y tenían mucho zumo.
STEP 3: Serve in a long or short glass and garnish with the lemon wheel.
PASO 3: Servimos en vaso corto o largo y decorar con la rueda de limón.
Enjoy this drink with its very Caribbean smell and flavour. I have added a lot of ice to make the drink creamy and slushy at the same timeI would love to know if you have tried this "Lemonade with coconut milk".

Wow this must be really delicious! Coconut is already good on its own but with that plus of lemon it must give a very interesting sweet and citric flavor.

I love coconut. In my place, there are different savory dishes that include coconut milk. In addition, it is commonly used in local delicacies made with sticky rice. I even enjoy eating fresh grated raw coconut. I would love to have this creamy and slushy drink someday. Summer is slowly creeping towards us here in the US, so I'll have to try and remember this one. It looks very tasty. Quick question: maybe it's my computer (and I'm certainly not a lemon afficionado) but those things in the picture look green, not yellow. I thought the green ones were limes? Either way, I'm sure it tasted good. 😋
Try to make it and tell me about it, this drink is very good to try in summer 💚 here in Venezuela we call it lemons these were medium , yes there is a bigger and yellow species that they call it limonson because it is a graft between lemon and orange. Thanks for stopping by
