Creative Sunday - Mayonnaise recipe

Often you get stuck in the same dishes you always make and also in the same routine of things you buy ready-made.

This can vary from tomato soup, green beans, pasta, French fries, etc.

I too often fall into the trap of buying something ready-made.
Because that takes less time and effort.

That is why I have decided to make my own dishes more often.

Today I have chosen a quick recipe. Mayonnaise.

Not once in my life have I made this myself. Always store bought.

And until a year ago never thought about the fact that I can very easily make this myself as well.

This literally only takes you a few minutes because I made this mayonnaise with a hand blender.
(Why should a recipe always be complicated and time consuming.)

Writing this blog took me more time.

Today I use the above ingredients but there are many different recipes for making mayonnaise.

For me, the addition of lemon makes the mayonnaise extra tasty.

You could also use white vinegar instead of the lemon juice.
But that is not my preference because it has quite an overpowering taste.

To prevent that your mayonnaise will separate all of your ingredients must be at room temperature.

Besides the ingredients you also need a tall jar and a hand blender.
(Of course, you could also mix the mayonnaise with a whisk).

Oh you need also a storage jar of course at the end.

Put the egg, mustard, lemon juice and salt in the cup.

After that gently pour all the oil on top of that.

I used sunflower oil because it has a neutral taste.

You can flavor the mayonnaise at the end by adding, for example: garlic, pepper, curry, paprika or vadouvan or whatever you like.

Once everything is in the cup, put the hand blender in the mixture to the bottom.

And then turn it on.

Slowly move the hand blender up and down.

You will see that the ingredients mix and the mayonnaise slowly starts to form.

The ingredients will be properly mixed in half a minute to 1 minute.

Note: Store your mayonnaise in the refrigerator.
And can only lasts for a week.

Hints: Oil makes your mayonnaise thicke.
And water makes it thinner.

Again, make sure everything is at room temperature.

I hope this easy, quick recipe is worth making sometime.

Wishing you all the best in life and much health.
