It's another edition of the hive learners' weekly prompt, as usual, and this time I'll be talking about my favorite technological advancement so far. Before we get into the heart of the discussion, let's take a quick look at the edition's theme as published by the community.

Your Favourite Technological AdvancementOver the years, the world has gone through various technological changes in almost every sphere of life. Some of these are good while affect us in negative ways. Tell us about your favorite technological advancement today.
The Introduction of Mobile Phones is so far my favorite
This may appear overly common, but as someone from a part of the world where technology is scarce, I'd rather choose the one I've had. Distance communication was difficult prior to the introduction of the mobile phone, and everything had to be done using analog technology. Personally, I recall going to the post office for a picnic when I was in elementary school. Then we'll all go there and drop off a letter in accordance with the posting procedure. I also recall how long it took for a letter to arrive at its destination, which was a significant disadvantage back then because it did not help in emergency situations.
When the mobile phone was introduced in my country in 2001, everything changed.
Its introduction resolved a long-standing communication problem, bringing about simplicity and quick response to situations. Originally used only for calling, mobile phones are now used for almost everything. It's almost as if our entire lives revolve around it. Mobile phones now provide us with numerous advantages in terms of communication via voice, text messages, and emails. Even the old practice of stockpiling photo albums has naturally died as mobile phones have taken their place. We now have phones with cameras that are sharp enough to cover an event successfully.
Mobile phones, popularly known these days as smartphones have made our human lives a lot easier in various aspects, but this hasn’t reached us without a disadvantage.
Negative Impacts of Smartphones
While there are numerous advantages to using a smartphone, there are some drawbacks. To begin with, as has been observed in recent years, smartphones create distance between people because people now spend more time on their phones without caring about talking to one another.
As a result, phones waste a lot of time. They easily distract people and can keep them occupied for hours. It appears that people are becoming dumber as a result of their use of smartphones, but there is a flip side to this as people also use them to become smarter.
Another disadvantage of smartphones is that they cause a variety of health problems. When we use something for an extended period of time, our eyesight deteriorates. They also put strain on our brains, causing headaches, watery eyes, and other symptoms.
Do the benefits outweigh the drawbacks?
The smartphone was designed with the best of intentions, but it is not without flaws. All of this is dependent on how we choose to use them. Even as smartphones take over our lives, we must maintain control and know where to draw the line. We do, after all, own it.
To summarize, no one is permitted to use the disadvantages of mobile phone technology against it because almost all of those disadvantages have a way to be avoided. Overall, mobile phone technology is far more beneficial than detrimental.

Mobile phones have been upgraded to a point where it is almost equating to a computer and now some phones even cost more than some PCs.😂😂

In today's era, the development of information is very rapid because with the help of smartphones we can find out world news in just a few seconds. but many misinterpret the usefulness of smartphones so that many commit fraud by sharing the guise. however it all comes back to the user. the wiser we use technology, the better we will manage the growing technology. interesting post😍

Smartphones are so important that we just cannot do without them, especially for those of us that rely on them for our daily living. While that has its own share of disadvantages, I am convinced that the benefits outweigh that by far.
