Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Just remember that is is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

  • I found this app through @emwalker. Use it regularly and it will help you type faster and more accurately. [10 fast fingers](https://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english

I have a favor to ask. If you are on YouTube, can you please subscribe to my Sustainable Living Podcast channel. I am not asking you to watch, just to subscribe. I want to be able to do live Yoga classes and need more subscribers before I can access that function. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA73SuaMBnBIaB5OdiL_y6Q

I come from Nigeria a Yoruba boy to be precise and we have lot of native food, funniest part was growing I never liked any of my native food but since I wasn't born with a silver spoon my choice was limit.

My village native food us pounded yam and I still don't like it or eat it and for that some people do say I'm a bastard which doesn't matter to me, pounded with vegetable soup and better bush meat is enough to make you feel heaven on earth but it do make me sleepy after I'm done eating it which is why I stop eating pounded yam.

In case you come across it please try it and you won't regret doing

How do you prepare pounded yam?

Wow, there is the thing we call pestle and mortar. The first thing is you boil you yam without adding salt and after it's cooked well you put it one after the other into the pestle and mortar and you pound it. It's a food that requires technique and not strength to make or better still just get pondo yam at the store and you make at home

Thank you.
Are the yams you have sweet? Actually, I think all we can get here are sweet potatoes and not true yams. But if I ever find a start, I am going to grow some.

Thank you for today's prompt. The prompt and 5 minutes led me to an interesting future of virtual eating.

“I’d like you to meet August Hendrix, our lead developer in the companies virtual reality emersion program.”
“A pleasure to meet you Ms. Hendrix.”
“And you sir. Allow me to give you a tour of our facilities. This is the emersion chamber.” August points to a large tank filled with a pinkish liquid.”The chamber is filled with a special substance we developed called Lifeline. Lifeline both protects and nourishes the subjects physical body while emersed in the chamber.”
“You mean the subject eats the liquid.”
“Not exactly sir, Lifeline is designed for its nutrients to be absorbed through human skin. This allows the subject to remain emerged in the VR world for as long as they like, without the need to tubular feeding or excrement extraction. Within the lifeline liquid are nanobots and sensors, if the subject decides to eat in VR, they will have the taste and sensation of eating food. “
“You mean I can order and eat a steak at a VR restaurant?”
“Yes sir, although we are still unable to simulate the body feeling full or stuffed after a meal.”
