Writing help

  • A free app: Grammarly. A lot of us are not native English speakers and I am finding it a helpful app. It will underline spelling and grammar mistakes. Just remember that is is not always right -especially if you use complex sentence structures. Here is the link

  • Remember The Most Dangerous Writing App. You set the time - 5 min - and start typing. Don’t stop!!! It will destroy what you wrote if you stop for more than 3 seconds - and backspace does not count as writing on the app. If you are prone to stop and think - this app forces you to keep going. You can make corrections after the 5 minutes are over.

  • A timer. Egg timer is a free tool you can use on your desktop to set a time. This is useful for our freewrites or if you want to work in blocks of time and then take a break. Here is the link

  • I found this app through @emwalker. Use it regularly and it will help you type faster and more accurately. [10 fast fingers](https://10fastfingers.com/typing-test/english

I have a favor to ask. If you are on YouTube, can you please subscribe to my Sustainable Living Podcast channel. I am not asking you to watch, just to subscribe. I want to be able to do live Yoga classes and need more subscribers before I can access that function. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCA73SuaMBnBIaB5OdiL_y6Q

Wow, this is an interesting topic and this is also one issue that hasn't been resolved in my country for years despite having different internet carriers and also the advantage of an individual having more than 1 Internet carrier.

I remembered one beautiful Sunday night when my football club was playing, the match was going to start at 9:15 pm which is already too late for me to go out to the football viewing center to watch the ball so decide i was going to stream the match. At exactly 9:10 pm I log in to the app and started streaming the match, 15 minutes in the first half, everything was until the internet started acting funny, I thought it was just for a few seconds or some minutes but this lasted for the whole 45 minutes of the first half, which a lot of switching off my phone and reloading the app.

Before the second half, I decided to swap my phone sim to enjoy a better network, only if I had known I won't have done that, the sim carrier I switched to got worse and I hardly even was able to watch any minutes of the second half. After my frustration hit the point, I put my phone down but due to my love for football, I could not rest so I switched the sim back. Fortunately for me, I was able to watch the remaining 2 minutes of the game(lol)

I missed all the important parts of the match and that was not the last time it happened.

Thanks

Richard closed from work on Saturday night, he couldn't get a cab and decided to trek since he won't be going to work the next day. He went into the grocery store to grab a bottle of drink and met Linda who was also shopping for the weekend.

They decided to walk together since they stayed a few blocks away from one another, it was an opportunity for them to get to know each other better. They were a few minutes away from home when the weather got windy, the clouds were taking over the sky. Richard paused to look back and told Linda that they need to hurry because it might pour anytime, they hurried to avoid getting wet.

Linda reached her destination first and left Richard to continue his journey which was about just 2 minutes walk, he barely walk 25 seconds before it started raining.

Richard got home wet and he couldn't access the door, he did everything possible but his home newly installed artificial intelligence wouldn't just come up. He was drenched and had no choice but to return to Linda's place, he was shy to seek shelter just for the rain to stop.

Linda took him in and offered him clothes to change, he settled in and called the company that installed the AI, he was shocked to hear that the rain caused internet troubles and he has to wait or break through the door which wasn't an option.
