Compartiendo con mis nuevas amigas 🍻🎤 || Sharing with my new friends 🎤🍻
Hace poco les conté en otro post que tengo unas compañeras de trabajo bastante particulares y es que casi todas tienen la edad de mi mamá. Son mujeres cincuentonas como dicen en mi país a las mujeres que rondan entre los 50 años, y que al principio pensé que no tendríamos cosas en común o una buena relación.
I recently told you in another post that I have some very particular co-workers and almost all of them are my mother's age. They are women in their fifties as they say in my country to women who are around 50 years old, and at first I thought that we would not have things in common or a good relationship.
Resultó que parecemos niñas chiquitas bromeando, compartiendo y divirtiéndonos, hasta hablando de temas candentes 🔥y trabajamos muy bien. Decidimos salir a almorzar y conocer un lugar nuevo cerca del trabajo llamado Don Carmelo, pero la verdad nuestra intención principal era cantar karaoke y tomarnos unas cuantas cervezas. El lugar es diferente y está lleno de arte con graffitis por toda su entrada, hay una moto que parece salida de la pared, hay rockolas viejas, y nos contaron que toda la decoración y los graffitis fueron hechos por la nieta del dueño que tiene 16 años.
It turned out that we look like little girls joking, sharing and having fun, even talking about hot topics 🔥 and we work very well. We decided to go out for lunch and check out a new place near work called Don Carmelo, but the truth is that our main intention was to sing karaoke and have a few beers. The place is different and is full of graffiti art all over its entrance, there is a motorcycle that seems to come out of the wall, there are old jukeboxes, and they told us that all the decoration and graffiti were made by the owner's granddaughter who is 16 years.
Una de las cosas más graciosas de mis amigas, especialmente Eugenia, es que no le gusta la tecnología, casi no sabe usar su celular y ni les cuento una computadora, pero me pidió que le tomara una foto en esta linda mariposa. Yo con gusto le tomé una buena foto, pero se pueden dar cuenta de las fotos que ella me tomó a mi. Es para morirse de risa que de seis fotos ninguna haya quedado bien, ahora las veo en mi teléfono y solo puedo recordar sus carcajadas.
One of the funniest things about my friends, especially Eugenia, is that she doesn't like technology, she hardly knows how to use her cell phone and I don't even mention a computer, but she asked me to take her a photo on this pretty butterfly. I gladly took a good photo of her, but you can tell from the photos she took of me. It is to die of laughter that of six photos none have been good, now I see them on my phone and I can only remember their laughter.
Comenzaron las cervezas, a todas nos gusta 🍻 y está primera salida nos sirvió para conocernos mucho más. Entre chistes y chistes en la mesa nos tomamos algunas fotos, aquí estoy con mis compañeras de oficina Belkis y Yoli, una ya es abuela y la verdad no se le nota porque es una mujer divertida, extrovertida, proactiva, execelente compañera y maestra. A ellas tengo que agradecerles su paciencia y el cariño con el que me han recibido y me han tratado.
The beers have started, we all like it 🍻 and this first outing helped us get to know each other much better. Between jokes and jokes at the table we took some photos, here I am with my office colleagues Belkis and Yoli, one is already a grandmother and the truth is that you don't notice her because she is a fun, outgoing, proactive woman, an excellent colleague and teacher. I have to thank them for their patience and the affection with which they have received me and treated me.
Brindamos una y otra vez jajaja, ya ni se por que brindamos tanto. Somos un gran equipo de mujeres, alrededor de quince distribuidas en varios departamentos, cualquiera pensaría que hay problemas por ser tantas pero la verdad es que este equipo me deja impresionada porque son mínimas las diferencias entre nosotras y no tenemos resentimientos, celos, chismes ni nada por el estilo.
We toast again and again hahaha, I don't even know why we toast so much anymore. We are a great team of women, around fifteen distributed in various departments, anyone would think that there are problems for being so many but the truth is that this team impresses me because the differences between us are minimal and we have no resentments, jealousy, gossip or anything for the style.
Alexandra es la persona que me ayudó a conseguir este trabajo, es la subdirectora del Colegio y ha sido una mujer increíble conmigo. Compartir fuera de la oficina con cada una de ellas me hizo conocer más de sus gustos, de sus personalidades y de su sentido del humor tan particular y único. Alexandra no toma porque siempre maneja más lejos, pero a pesar de eso se divirtió y disfrutamos una tarde bastante alegre, tanto que el almuerzo se convirtió prácticamente en cena.
Alexandra is the person who helped me get this job, she is the deputy director of the School and she has been an incredible woman with me. Sharing outside the office with each one of them made me learn more about their tastes, their personalities and their particular and unique sense of humor. Alexandra doesn't drink because she always drives farther, but she still had fun and we had a pretty merry afternoon, so much so that lunch practically turned into dinner.
La tarde se nos fue volando desde que activaron el micrófono y nos dieron luz verde para cantar en el karaoke, menos mal no había otros clientes para llorar con nuestras voces jajaja. Cantamos merengues, rancheras, salsa, música romántica, vallenatos y hasta música en inglés.
The afternoon flew by since they activated the microphone and gave us the green light to sing karaoke, luckily there were no other customers to cry with our voices hahaha. We sing merengues, rancheras, salsa, romantic music, vallenatos and even music in English.
Hubo peleas por el micrófono, duetos y abucheos, aplausos, gritos, risas y coros, pasos de baile y coreografias. A mí no se me da lo del karaoke pero la verdad me sentí muy a gusto con mis compañeras que no pude resistir cantar la famosa canción de La Conga y ponerlas a bailar y a hacer un trencito.
There were fights over the microphone, duets and boos, applause, shouts, laughter and choruses, dance steps and choreography. I'm not good at karaoke but the truth is I felt very comfortable with my classmates and I couldn't resist singing the famous La Conga song and making them dance and do a little train.
Disfrutar de momentos así con tus amigos no tiene precio, es algo que te llena de vida y de energía, te alegra el alma y te motiva mantener una sana relación con las personas que te rodean en tu trabajo o cualquier actividad. Mis nuevas y únicas amigas son especiales y extraordinarias, me han hecho sonreír cada día y me demuestran que la amistad es maravillosa en todos sus sentidos.
Enjoying moments like this with your friends is priceless, it is something that fills you with life and energy, makes your soul happy and motivates you to maintain a healthy relationship with the people around you in your work or any activity. My new and unique friends are special and extraordinary, they have made me smile every day and show me that friendship is wonderful in every way.
Soy bendecida de contar con familia y amigos, soy afortunada de tener a estás personas en mi vida. Y mi foto al salir fue tomada por Alexandra, para no quedarme con las ganas.
I am blessed to have family and friends, I am lucky to have these people in my life. And my photo when I left was taken by Alexandra, so I wouldn't be left wanting.

De verdad se nota que la pasaron muy bien, conversaron, comieron y hasta karaoke, imagino todas las risas, con la libertad de que no había más personas que ustedes. Este tipo de momentos se llevan en la mente por mucho tiempo y fortalece esos lazos tan importantes incluso entre compañeros de trabajo.
