How to link Covid-19 Vaccination certificate to Queensland Check in App Australia iPhone Android
Hi everyone. Since the government has mandated that from today you can't get into certain venues unless you have vaccination proof linked to your checkin app, I thought I'd quickly make a tutorial on how to do it. I did it for the Queensland check-in app but I'm assuming it will be the same for all states. Hope this helps you. Make sure you have the latest version of the check-in app installed, otherwise it might not allow you to link a vaccination certificate (just because you're using the app it doesn't mean it's updated to the latest version - you need to check yourself if you follow my steps and it doesn't work). I know there is a tutorial on the government website but my steps are slightly different and explained in more detail - plus I also show the finger scrolling / pressing which will help in identifying where to press on the screen. I also do it for both my mum's and my dad's phones, one of which is iPhone 11 Pro and the other is a Samsung Galaxy S10e.

Is this obligatory over there??
in some venues (e.g. Australia Zoo) you can't get in without showing the green tick on this app.
Aha thanks for clarification, so it is only for some places.
correct. not all. I also went to a partner dance social that required it.
also, did you mean whether it is obligatory for the vaccination proof or just the check in? a lot more places will require the check in (e.g. restaurants), but not all of them need to see the green tick (vaccination proof)

I think we're over that now aren't we? How much data do people share with fb?
Smart people use platforms like Hive.
terrible that this is being done, but I guess nice tutorial...
Terrible or not depends on the person
It looks as though you are trying to help people out here with your tutorial but it's kind of disappointing that people are actively taking part in their own enslavement through these tracking passports. Where I live thankfully we are close to a week away from these passports being removed (for now and hopefully for good). These won't go away unless enough people resist the use of them. They can claim it's for your own good or for whatever reason but this is the first step in full authoritarian control of your travel, access to anywhere the authorities decree or even the ability to buy food. It's a hellish dystopian future if people accept this as the new normal.
People need to fight for the freedoms we have and refuse these passports. We're on the brink of a technological boom that can be in support of humanity through decentralized technology or this same technology can be used against the public through vaccine passports and used to track and monitor our every move. Stand up against these, inconvenience yourself a bit and just stop going to places that require passports. I know it's unpleasant but what other choice is there unless we want to go full speed down the slippery slope to tyranny.
A person below made the point that people moving from places like FB to Hive, I believe he meant they are doing so in support of freedom and to get away from the same people pushing passport digital ID tracking systems like those that run FB and can and do censor, delete and ban anyone or anything they feel like.
I'm sorry but I totally disagree. People have to play by the rules otherwise society doesn't work. I have lived in Australia happily for 20 years so I trust the government here to put in safety measures where it is necessary. It's not very hard to get vaccinated and to show proof of vaccination on entry into a venue that requires it. Even as a participant in an activity such as partner dancing, I also feel safer myself when people around me are vaccinated. I trust the government will take these requirements away when they are not needed. Thanks for your input though.
