The #ZapFicMonday is a literary initiative from the Freewriters Community in which writers have to create a story, using the prompt provided, with 240 characters or less.

Waiter's Love

As the engagement ring slipped onto her finger, the lights suddenly went out.
In the darkness, he whispered: "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you, my love!"
But he wasn't talking to her, but to the old waiter by their table!
