Yes... I know that "Cosplay" is not the exact translation of "freaks" it's just that here in latam, anyone who dresses up and plays a character is a freak unless it's carnival or Halloween and as I had been called "freak" before in a Hive Discord group, I liked it as an ironic title.
A ver sé que “Cosplay” no es la traducción exacta de “raritos” es solo que aquí en latam, cualquiera que se disfrace e interprete un personaje es un raro a menos que sea carnaval o Halloween y como ya antes me habían tachado de “raro” en un grupo de Discord de Hive pues me gustó como titulo irónico.
And well really the adjectives of Friki or Geek are derivations of words whose translation derives in weird, strange or well, more exactly social misfits, I could go on talking about this for hours, but, what brings me here today is something else.
Today I wanted to share with you a very pleasant experience I had recently, since a very good and dear friend of mine had her birthday this past October 10th and she always wanted a Studios Ghibli themed party and since she was finally able to become independent and have a place of her own, she took the reins and organized her desired themed party.

Y bueno realmente los adjetivos de Friki o Geek son derivaciones de palabras cuya traducción deriva en raro, extraño o bueno, más exactamente inadaptados sociales, podría seguir hablando de esto por horas, pero, lo que hoy me trae aquí es otra cosa.
Hoy quise compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy grata que tuve recientemente, ya que una muy buena y querida amiga mi cumplió año este pasado 10 de octubre y ella siempre quiso una fiesta temática sobre Studios Ghibli y como finamente pudo independizarse y tener un lugar propio, tomó las riendas y organizo su fiesta temática deseada.
Hoy quise compartir con ustedes una experiencia muy grata que tuve recientemente, ya que una muy buena y querida amiga mi cumplió año este pasado 10 de octubre y ella siempre quiso una fiesta temática sobre Studios Ghibli y como finamente pudo independizarse y tener un lugar propio, tomó las riendas y organizo su fiesta temática deseada.
I would like to say that the rest of the guys and I helped her, but I would be lying, she created each decorative piece by herself, of course when it came to placing, arranging and helping her with other things we did, but the rest was her own work. Very admirable if you ask me (especially for me, that as far as manual skills are concerned I am a zero to the left of a comma and many other numbers that the calculator doesn't even bother to show).
Finally the day of the party was approaching and my friend sent us the invitation through the chat group we have on Facebook and said, "You can come with cosplay if you want, whether it's Studios Ghibli or not." And since I've always liked the cosplay movement, I spent a long time thinking about which character I could impersonate from such a varied range of characters among so many works (Especially because I don't remember very well many of these movies.)
Finally I found it, I remembered one of my favorite Studios Ghibli movies as it is the incredible wandering castle and I thought, "Well, I have long hair like Howl, it would be to comb it and... Yes, I'll get to elaborate the costume." And with my dad's help for... Pretty much everything, (As I mentioned, zero or near zero manual skills) and so I decided to go as Howl.
Finally the day of the party was approaching and my friend sent us the invitation through the chat group we have on Facebook and said, "You can come with cosplay if you want, whether it's Studios Ghibli or not." And since I've always liked the cosplay movement, I spent a long time thinking about which character I could impersonate from such a varied range of characters among so many works (Especially because I don't remember very well many of these movies.)
Finally I found it, I remembered one of my favorite Studios Ghibli movies as it is the incredible wandering castle and I thought, "Well, I have long hair like Howl, it would be to comb it and... Me gustaría decir que el resto de los chicos y yo la ayudamos, pero estaría mintiendo, ella por si sola creo cada pieza decorativa, claro a la hora de colocar, arreglar y ayudarla con otras cosa lo hicimos, pero del resto fue trabajo de ella misma. Muy admirable si me lo preguntan (Sobre todo para mí, que en cuanto a habilidades manuales se trata soy un cero a la izquierda de una coma y muchos otros números que la calculadora ni se molesta en mostrar.)
Finalmente se acercaba el día de la fiesta y mi amiga nos envió la invitación por el grupo de chat que tenemos en Facebook y decía: “Pueden venir con cosplay si quieren, sea o no de Studios Ghibli.” Y como siempre me ha gustado la movida del cosplay, estuve un buen rato pensando a que personaje podría personificar de tan variado abanico de personajes entre tantas obras (Especialmente porque no recuerdo muy bien muchas de estas películas.)
Finalmente lo encontré, Recordé una de mis películas favoritas de Studios Ghibli como lo es el increíble castillo vagabundo y pensé, “Bueno, tengo el cabello largo como Howl, seria de peinarlo y… Sí, me pondré a elaborar el vestuario.” Y con la ayuda de mi papa para… Casi todo, (Como mencione, nulas o casi nulas habilidades manuales) y así decidí ir como Howl.

La fiesta en si fue muy divertida con todo y que no hubo alcohol presente en ningún momento, aun así las risas no faltaron y aquí les dejo las fotos para demostrarlo.
The party itself was a lot of fun even though there was no alcohol present at any time, even so the laughs were not lacking and here are the pictures to prove it.
