A Delicious and Comforting Veggie Chopsuey
Hello @hivefood ππ€ How's everyone doing here? I hope you're great and fine. Today's favorite dish I would like to share to you is a famous food from the Philippines -- Chopsuey. What I loved in this simple recipe is that it's a mixed of my favorite colorful veggies like carrots, chayote, and cauliflower.

So here's what I did to cook a hearty and delicious chopsuey.
I first prepared all the ingredients
Pork 1/4 kilogram (sliced)
1 medium sized 1/2 cut carrots
1 medium sized of chayote peeled and cut
1 cup of cauliflower (cleaned)
Cabbage 1/2 head (sliced)
Garlic 3 cloves
Onion medium sized chopped
Soy sauce 2 tablespoon
Cooking oil 3 tablespoon
Salt and pepper to taste
Cornstarch slurry - Cornstarch 1 tablespoon added diluted in a 2 tablespoon of water

Here are the procedures in cooking
Prepare the vegetables by slicing it all according to its desired sizes. Chopped the cauliflower and cabbage into bit of pieces..

Saute garlic and oil in a heated pan until aroma comes out. I add the pork and stir fried it until golden brown.

Add the sliced vegetables first chayote so that it will be cook first

I stir fried the chayote for atleast two minutes or checked if it's tender already.

I then add the other vegetables like carrots and cauliflower. Cooked for another 3 minutes.

I then seasoned it with salt, pepper
and soy sauce and mixed it well.
I also added a cornstarch slurry to thickened it. I slowly constantly stirring it until the sauce of the chopsuey thickens.

Once it's cooked, removed it from the heat.

Chopsuey is best when paired with hot steamed rice π π

This would be all for now and see you in my next cooking blog journey..Bye π π
