Returning

We all love vacations; that divine space that involves connecting with ourselves and escaping for a while from the work routine. Recently, I read in a WhatsApp status from a family member that: how was it possible that people complain so much about going back to work, that this only happens to those who have no love for their work. Relatively true and I felt bad for being of the team that #hatesgoingbacktowork but weighing the situation a bit more thoroughly, I remembered that she is a freelancer, works from home and calls her space.

Like me, I love being at home, sleeping a little more, doing housework (as long as it's not overwhelming) and doing all those activities at home that she doesn't get a chance to do because she has to work.

But finally there is no escape: vacation is over, I have to go back. Obviously, I miss my kids and their fun and games, but my job is much more than that, it also involves administrative work; that's why I've been catching up little by little so that the routine doesn't become so stressful for me.

My weekend (which is almost over) was based on planning first of all the contents that I will give this academic period with a duration of two months and the project that will be done; the lists and evaluations that will be carried out.

A wise man said that believing that the teaching work is only in the classroom, is like thinking that the marathon runner only runs the day of the marathon.

Yesterday we celebrated Three Kings Day here in Venezuela so it is also latent to return all the Christmas decorations to the boxes of origin; so my weekend is full of unpaid work but work that can not be postponed. So, I say to myself: cheer up and I trust you, you can do it all!
