It is a pleasure to be starting the week and talk about a topic such as confidence in this community of women like womentribe; this is a term that is very important for us women, as it allows us to see life from a more positive perspective, assuming with courage any situation that we may face.

Un gusto estar iniciando la semana y hablar de un tema como lo es la confianza en esta comunidad de mujeres como los es womentribe; este es un término que es muy importante para nosotras las mujeres, ya que nos permite ver la vida desde una perspectiva más positiva, asumiendo con valentía cualquier situación que se nos pueda presentar.

Now what is self-confidence; for me I would define it by simply saying that I believe in myself. When you are able to feel that you are sure of what you do and perform; this will allow others to see that confidence and security, also believe in you.
I think that self-confidence is fostered from the time we are small and the way we are raised by our parents. It is very important to develop a high self-esteem in our girls; this will surely go hand in hand with self-confidence; accepting yourself as you are and recognizing your capabilities.

Ahora que es tener confianza en sí mismo; para mi la definiría con solo decir que creo en mi . Cuando eres capaz de sentir que estas seguras de lo que haces y realizas; esto te permitirá que los demás al ver esa confianza y seguridad, también crean en ti.
Pienso que la confianza en uno mismo; se va fomentando desde que estamos pequeños y de la forma como seamos criados por nuestros padres. Es súper importante desarrollar un autoestima alto en nuestras niñas; con esto de seguro va a ir de la mano para tener la confianza en sí misma; aceptándose tal cual eres y reconociendo sus capacidades.

Being a confident woman doesn't mean that you know it all but one; but it will certainly open many doors for you if you show the world your confidence.

El ser una mujer con confianza en ti misma no quiere decir que te la sabes todas mas una; pero de seguro se te abrirán muchas puertas si demuestras al mundo tu confianza.

How do you deal with self-confidence? // ¿Cómo afrontas la confianza en ti mismo?

I consider myself a super confident woman, and of course confidence goes hand in hand with confidence. One of the ways I think I deal with this issue is by accepting challenges and showing that I am the size of the commitment that comes my way.

Me considero una mujer súper segura de mí, y por supuesto que la confianza va de la mano de la confianza. Una de las maneras que pienso que afronto este tema , es aceptando retos y demostrando que soy del tamaño del compromiso que se me presente.

For me the basis of self-confidence is to believe in yourself, this allows you to see yourself in front of other people as a being capable of giving the best of yourself.

Para mí la base de la confianza en sí mismo, es creer en ti, esto te permite ver frente a otras personas como un ser capaz de poder dar lo mejor de ti.

Tell me about an opportunity where you expressed self-confidence // Cuéntame alguna oportunidad donde expresaste confianza en ti mismo.

Some of you may know that I am a teacher and it is one of the things that I always like the children who pass through my classroom to know; to trust in them, especially when they are going to do exhibitions; it is a topic that I always touch on to encourage them from an early age.
Now as I have expressed my confidence; I can tell you that I have had the opportunity to be a speaker on several occasions in large audiences; there I have been able to transmit in a safe and very confident way in my knowledge that I am doing well; and this is not just because I say so; but they let me know.
I remember one of those activities we were several speakers and they had to choose one to represent the state. I remember that a person from a training entity approached me and told me that you were the best but the teacher did not want to select you because you were part of another entity, the truth is that I did not care, because what I wanted was to do well and represent the institution I belonged to. It was always present there that I believe in myself and in what I know; therefore, what others think is wrong doesn't matter to me.

Algunos sabrán que soy docente y es una de las cosas que siempre me gusta que los niños que pasan por mi aula sepan; el confiar en ellos, sobre todo cuando van a realizar exposiciones; es un tema que siempre les toco para fomentarlo en ellos desde pequeños.
Ahora como he expresado mi confianza; les puedo decir que he tenido la oportunidad de ser ponente en varias oportunidades en grandes públicos; allí he sido capaz de poder trasmitir de una manera segura y muy confiada en mis conocimientos que lo estoy haciendo bien; y esto no es solo porque lo diga yo; sino que me lo hacen saber.
Recuerdo una de esas actividades fuimos varias ponentes y tenían que elegir una para representar al estado. Recuerdo que una persona de un ente de formación, se me acerco y me dijo fuiste la mejor pero la profe no quiso seleccionarte porque formo parte de otro ente, la verdad eso no me importo; ya que lo que yo quería era hacerlo bien y representar a la altura la institución que pertenecía. Allí estuvo siempre presente que yo creo en mi y en lo que se; por lo tanto lo que piensen mal los demás me tiene sin cuidado.
