My Actifit Report Card: April 18 2024
My friends and I played an eighteen-hole round of disc golf this morning. I won with the scores at +6, +7, +11, and +25. It was a close round, and near the end on hole sixteen I did not do too well. I thought I was going to come in second, but my friend missed the line on hole seventeen, and I ended up with the win.
It was a nice day to be out on the course, and the weather was sunny and warm.

Fragrant stuff, that skunk cabbage! If you feel hungry enough, I understand the root is edible, however the leaves are not. I'm thinking I'd have to pass on it myself! It is vividly colorful, though.

I have heard that you can eat the leaves as well but you need to boil it and rinse it a lot. I'm not sure about the details but I have heard that they are not good to eat raw. I think I'll pass too but a lot of root vegetables are tasty.

These plants are so pretty, can they be eaten by my brother?
I have heard that they can be eaten but the leaves must be boiled a few times and the water discarded. I have never tried to eat them. They can be dangerous to eat raw.

I never saw one of these plants before I moved here. They like to grow in very wet conditions.

I did play in a small tournament about a week ago. It went very well and I had a lot of fun and ended up with four new discs.
