RE: Contributor Highlights

Thank you! To be completely honest, I would love to share stock stuff more frequently but I find a bit discouraging that lack of usage, in general :)))
I see hundreds of users on Hive use free stock images sites but they don't prefer to use the stuff we provide "internally" on the platform. I am not sure how that could be changed for good.

I agree with you completely. This is why @minismallholding decided we needed to focus on showcasing what we already have in the index with hopes to bring more awareness of the images. Not sure what else we'll do from this point but we do hope more people catch on to this concept and use in-house photos instead.

Thanks for hanging in here with us. We'll see what's to come :)

Probably I have to drop the requirement to be set as a beneficiary, we all know the most of the people here post for the rewards and they would keep them all for themselves, I get that. Then find some way to support each other in another interesting and motivating way...

I see some communities get tokenized, probably that's a direction to consider? :)

Yes, it's very obvious that most people don't like to share their rewards. At the most they will give credit and source the images which is still good but we'd love to see more of them add contributors as beneficiaries.

Thanks for dropping that idea about the tokens. We’ll be discussing about more options soon.

Pleasure! :)
I'd love to contribute to these discussions, if you think I could be of any help, of course. Just tag me in Discord, too many servers, time is always not enough ;)))

I'm currently trying to focus more on seeing what we can do to create awareness of the option to use in house images, but struggling to get much feedback. I don't know if it's lack of awareness that we're here, lack of the kind of images people want or whether it's hard to search for the images to find what they're looking for.

We'll just have to keep plugging away with raising awareness. Katerinaramm gave us some good ideas too, we just need to find your to implement some of them.

Thank you for your time and efforts!
I think a combination of all these and probably more.
Let's not forget the financial part, as I just commented to @crosheille :)
People are used to these free image banks and here we ask them to put more effort and sometime split the rewards with us. Probably we should go into the opposite direction and give every user tokens? I know this would cost a lot of time and resources, I'm just putting that idea on the table :)

Tokens were one of the things Katerina mentioned, but I wasn't sure how we could distribute them or how they could be used. So thank you for an idea on the first part.

Let me share another experience I have with Adobe Stock.
They have that program, running from time to time in the last couple of years, where the contributor submits certain images to be included for "free" downloads. Only a small part of the submitted ones get approved actually but then Adobe pays some in advance, no matter how many downloads.
I think that way they create a certain collection with exquisite quality, available for free to their customers.
So long story short - I guess some tokens could be distributed based on participation in such a high-quality library.

Thank you, that's another good idea. We also need to think of a use case for them on the spending side, otherwise they have no value.

HODLing (or staking, I know it is more expensive) pays in dividends? (similar to what SIM & BRO and probably few other tokens feature)
The most obvious other use case is exchange(burn) tokens for upvote too. I know it is a grey area but several other projects have that feature for years so I guess it is not that bad ;)
Just putting up few quick ideas.
