Hive has long been touted as a Web3 social media platform that offers fast, free and scalable transactions.

These things are all true but the social media aspect of Hive has been lacking... the social part.

Long-form content is great and it will always have a place on Hive. That being said, we believe that long-form on Hive needed both a major revamp alongside the idea that long-form could not be the only type of content on Hive... IF we want Hive to be an actual social platform.

Hive has lacked the social aspect for a long-time. Yes, you could comment and reply to comments underneath long-form posts but other than that, we have used Discord as a means of real-time communication, engagement and relationship-building forever.

Why haven't we moved these activities on-chain? Why are we not having conversations and interacting with each other directly on the Hive blockchain?

At LEO, we believe so firmly in both the technological and community attributes of Hive. Hive is such a unique ecosystem and it has so much to offer the world.

It's like a huge water pipe that offers so much potential waterflow... but nobody has built the right tools to allow the water to flow efficiently and effectively through the pipe.

Instead, Hive remains silo'd into communities that live primarily on Discord and then create long-form and interact in a non-real-time manner.

We recently deployed over 100 updates to the UI throughout the course of July. If you are a Hiver and haven't used the UI in July... I highly recommend coming back and giving it a shot.

We are literally deploying updates on a daily basis. A mix of bug fixes and new features.

Project Blank's UI launched on May 1st and since then, the UI has gotten so many revamps and new feature adds. It's unrecognizable to the version we launched with as we emerged into Open Beta from the Alpha stage.

If more people used Threads like they use Twitter it would be massive. Of course it's a smaller audience, but it has some other benefits. It's great to see the constant improvements.

honestly before threads there was no real engagement on hive, some never thought is important to engage but now on threads we have many friends we can engage with thereby building our audience and relationship.

Threads indeed playing a great role in case of engaging with others. It's allowing us to share every little thoughts and question in our mind. It's true that many authors still not using Leothreads but it just a matter of time they will be active in threads also. I strongly believe that. Besides Leothreads will bring more new users because writing long-format post is difficult for many people but threads allow user to share whatever they want and there is no restrictions.
It's true that some more improvement is still needed but I already started to get a positive vibes from earlier. The number of Hive user is going to increase multiple X within 2/3 years. Remember my word.

i was never a big short written content guy, i have twitter for 13 years and i started using it when steem/hive happened. 99% of my tweets are about hive, and i don't want to write threads about hive on hive, so that is reflecting my threads usage.

You could however (if you choose) write the thread then with 2 clicks share it to Twitter - this has many benefits for HHive/Leo (although #feedback the Tweet option no longer appears from the 3 dot menu sincesince latest update - doh!)

Social media without social people is worthless. I got the idea. Thread is the way forward. Discord is good but it's best to Practice socialism on our web3 social media platform which is threads. Thanks for the update and encouragement.

#Threads is becoming more lovely. I used to be there everyday, either making my own threads of commenting on others #threads. We are really pushing Leofinance to the top. Thanks to my friends here who are equally supporting.
