A medida que ha avanzado todo en el mundo los cambios son notables en muchos aspectos, solo que algunas personas se niegan a aceptarlo; es un tema fácil y beneficioso y, por otro lado, muy complejo. Si se hace una pequeña comparación en como eran los medios de comunicación hace unos 30 años atrás y todo ahora es más rápido, accesible y de fácil manejo casi en cualquier edad, la diferencia en tiempo, método y vía para enviar una carta antes en papel por correo manual y ahora es inmediato vía correo electrónico; es la era de lo tecnológico, digital dejando atrás esos tiempos manuales o analógico. También se suma a esta larga lista de cambios las costumbres, tradiciones, formas de relacionarse o tratarse entre las personas, amigos y familia.

Las actitudes han cambiado y en cuanto a tareas, responsabilidades, trabajo o profesiones no hay diferencia de sexo, pues tanto el hombre como la mujer se destacan y desempeñan muy bien lo que por elección deciden ser y hacer. El punto es que quedo en el pasado el tema de marcar diferencias entre uno y el otro sobre todo en el rol que les toca y con tantos avances ya las mujeres tienen voz o se hacen escuchar y no desempeñan ese papel de antes de quedarse en casa siendo esposa, mamá y criada; hoy todos los miembros de una familia deben colaborar con todas las tareas de un hogar y no dejarle la carga solo a una persona.

Las parejas de estos tiempos son equipo y sin ninguna distinción entre ellos ambos pueden ser profesionales, trabajar fuera de casa y además ser pareja, apoyarse, entenderse y en cuanto a las labores de casa son compartidas y en caso contrario la mujer no piensa mucho para decir que no soy tu criada, soy tu esposa.

If we make a brief comparison with how the media worked some 30 years ago, we see that everything is now faster, more accessible and easier to use for people of almost any age. The difference in the time, method, and means of sending a letter – which used to be done on paper by post – is now immediate via email; this is the age of technology and digitalization, leaving those manual or analogue times behind. Added to this long list of changes are customs, traditions, and the ways in which people, friends, and family interact and treat one another.

Attitudes have changed, and when it comes to tasks, responsibilities, work or professions, there is no difference between the sexes, as both men and women excel and perform very well in whatever they choose to be and do. The point is that the idea of drawing distinctions between the two – particularly regarding the roles they are expected to fulfil – is a thing of the past. With so much progress having been made, women now have a voice and make themselves heard; they no longer play the role they once did of staying at home as a wife, mother, and housekeeper. Today, all members of a family must contribute to all household tasks and not leave the burden to just one person.

Couples these days are a team, and there’s no distinction between them: both can have careers, work outside the home and still be a couple, supporting and understanding one another. As for household chores, these are shared; and if they aren’t, the woman won’t hesitate to say, ‘I’m not your maid’, ‘I’m your wife’.
