Cosmetic holder made of rag | (ENG/ESP)
Greetings to all the craft lovers of my dear NeedleWorKMonday community, I hope you are well, I hope you have started a productive week with great success. I wanted to make this project for my Needle Mondays, but time got complicated making the tasks I left pending for the weekend.
Today I feel very excited to have been able to achieve my craft, I want to show you a cosmetic holder that I made out of rag, I needed one, because the one I am using got damaged with the passage of time.
I like to use the materials I have at home so I don't accumulate so many things without making good use of them.

Hoy me siento muy emocionada de haber podido realizar mi manualidad, quiero mostrarles un portacosméticos que hice de trapo, necesitaba uno, porque el que estoy usando se dañó con el paso del tiempo.
Me gusta utilizar los materiales que tengo en casa para no acumular tantas cosas sin darles buen uso.

To make this cosmetic holder materials are simple.
You need flexible fabric, scissors, knitting needle, a brooch for decoration, a ruler, a dry soap, a zipper, needle, thread.
Para hacer este portacosméticos los materiales son sencillos.
Usted necesita tela flexible, tijeras, aguja de tejer, un broche para la decoración, una regla, un jabón seco, una cremallera, aguja, hilo.
I really liked a purple flexible fabric that was from a leggins that had been damaged, but had parts in good condition to make something nice, I immediately identified the side that stretched the most and made some lines on the fabric 1.5 cm wide with the help of a ruler and dry soap to make the cosmetic holder.
I then cut them and pulled out a lot of purple strips, which I decided to combine with a white flexible fabric I had left over from another project.
Me gustó mucho una tela flexible morada que era de un leggins que se me había dañado, pero tenía partes en buen estado para hacer algo bonito, enseguida identifiqué el lado que más se estiraba e hice unas líneas en la tela de 1,5 cm de ancho con la ayuda de una regla y jabón seco para hacer el portacosméticos.
Después las corté y saqué un montón de tiras moradas, que decidí combinar con una tela flexible blanca que me había sobrado de otro proyecto.
I asked my daughter for help to stretch the ribbons, which were beautiful, at this point I began to sort out my ideas on how to make this cosmetic holder.
It is the first time I work with this material and although I had already wanted to do it, I did not have the best ideas, but I decided to do it, I have always liked to do new things and improvise.
A good way is to use test materials to start, we know that if we can do it, the next step would be to look for the right material and start a new entrepreneurial project.
Le pedi ayuda ami hija para estirar las cintas, que quedaron hermosas, en este punto comenece a ordenar mis ideas de como hacer este portacosméticos.
Es la primera, vez que trabajo con este material y aunque ya lo había querido hacer, no tenía las mejores ideas, pero me propuse hacerlo, siempre me ha gustado hacer cosas nuevas e improvisar.
Una buena forma es utilizando materiales de prueba para empezar, sabemos que si así lo podemos lograr el próximo paso sería buscar el material adecuado y comenzar un nuevo proyecto emprendedor.
I knit a chain of 30 stitches, then knit 2 raised chain stitches, then for each chain stitch I knit a short stitch to the other end of the chain, where I also knit 2 chain stitches, turn the knitting over and start the other row.
Tejo una cadeneta de 30 puntos, luego tejo 2 puntos de cadeneta levantados, luego por cada punto de cadeneta tejo un punto corto hasta el otro extremo de la cadeneta, donde también tejo 2 puntos de cadeneta, doy la vuelta al tejido y empiezo la otra fila.
In many opportunities I had to join the strips that were not all of the same length, some were shorter, luckily thanks to a previous knitting that I had practiced how to join the threads, it was a great help because I already had a good technique and it was not so difficult.
I knitted it all in short stitches with the purple and white color combination.
After knitting it to the approximate size I wanted, I folded the fabric and closed it with chain stitches, leaving this seam for the reverse side.
En muchas oportunidades tuve que unir las tiras que no eran todas del mismo largo, algunas eran más cortas, por suerte gracias a un tejido anterior que había practicado de como unir los hilos, me fue de gran ayuda porque ya tenía una buena técnica y no fue tan difícil.

To give it a better look, I trimmed off some of the ends of some of the strips that were sticking out.
I then presented the zipper to the cosmetic holder, but it was too long, so I cut it to size, then threaded the needle with thread, and began to sew it carefully so that the thread of the seam would be invisible.
Para darle un mejor aspecto, recorté algunos de los extremos de algunas de las tiras que sobresalían.

To finish I decorated the cosmetic holder with the brooch, a pink ribbon and a tassel that I made from the strips that I had left over.
So ends my experience weaving with rag, I found it quite nice and easy to do, I hope you are encouraged to weave rag with scraps of flexible fabric that you have at home remember that there are no limits to start making good artistic practices, a way to grow and develop skills.

Para terminar decore el portacosmeticos con el broche, una cinta rosada y una borla que realice de las tiras que me sobraron.
Así termina mi experiencia tejiendo con trapillo, me pareció bastante lindo y fácil de hacer, espero que se animen a tejer trapillo con retazos de tela flexible que tengan en casa recuerden que no hay límites para empezar a hacer buenas prácticas artísticas, una forma de crecer y desarrollar habilidades.
