DIY/ Picture Frame.

Phew! I am happy to have finally recovered from the stress I went through yesterday and I want to take a minute to admire everyone who shares their DIY stuff here. It's not easy and I appreciate you for the inspiration.

I was free yesterday and decided to make something to solve a problem my younger siblings are struggling with, they are very careless with their jewelry so I thought I could make a fancy box where they are put them immediately when they take them off but I ended up doing something else and it's all good that my effort didn't end up as waste.

Materials Used

Cardboard
Scissors
Carton
Glue
Evostick

Procedure

The first thing I did was to cut out the shapes I needed to make the boxes, you will see two square boxes and small triangle shapes cut out of cartons. I had the intention of doing two of the boxes.

The boxes will be wrapped with cardboard to make it look beautiful so I cut out the cardboard with the rectangle shapes I cut from the carton.

I joined the shapes together with glue and I have my boxes ready.

I move on to cutting out a large card for the box cover, it has to be bigger than the box since I will create an opening in the cover of the box through which we can put things inside the box.

I marked the opening with a biro and cut out the marked part.
I repeated the process for the second box.

After the boxes were ready, I started covering the carton both inside and outside with the cardboard.

After covering everything with the cardboard, I joined the cover and the boxes together.

It looked too ordinary so I cut out the design below from a cardboard and attached it to the box cover.

In the end, I got what's below and after looking at it critically, it turned out to be something best described as a picture frame.

I inserted pictures and they were perfect. It means I haven't solved the intended problem and will need to find the time to make the box I really wanted.

Thank you.

it's really thoughtful of you to create the box for your siblings. Now they can store their accessories safely.
