WINTER BY THE LAKE IN POLAND

So here they are – my very first winter shots ! 📸❄️
I must admit, I had something else in mind when dreaming about my first winter photography... Especially when I look at those snowy mountain scenes from @InMyFrame. I won’t lie – I’m a bit jealous 😄 But if you don’t have what you love, you love what you have, right? 🙂

So for my mini winter session I chose Pogoria 3 Lake - just a few kilometers from where I live. SomeSomę time ago I used to visit very often, especially in summer when I cycled a lot almost on a daily basis. For nownów this is not possible anymore because of my job. But honestly – it’s still one of the nicest local spots for a walk, some quiet time or nature watching, no matter the season. In summer you can swim there. In winter people go ice bathing, feed swans and ducks or simply enjoy the frosty silence.
A few days ago I got lucky – fresh snow covered the paths and the reedbeds and I managed to catch that rare winter atmosphere before it melted away.

I still remember the winters from my childhood – minus 15 or 20°C, snow from October, sleigh rides, frozen lakes. Now? Snow is more of a rare guest here. That’s why I was extra happy to see some flakes falling and to finally take out my camera.

Sure, these aren’t dramatic mountain views – but there’s still something special in quiet local landscapes like this one. And winter’s not over yet... so who knows, maybe I’ll catch more snowy scenes on the road soon? ☃️
