Trip to chai prakan district, chiang mai province, Thailand : Visit and Introducing Phra That Chom Khiri temple.

Hello everyone. Today me and my wife have the opportunity to visit attractions and temples in chai prakan district, chiang mai province. We used to visit several temples in chaiprakarn district two months ago. But today we intend to visit the attractions and temples in this district, which we have never been to.
The Thai temple that me and my wife visited and would like to introduce today is called Phra That Chom Khiri temple. This temple is the second place of the our chai prakan district trip.
Phra That Chom Khiri temple is located in mae thalab subdistrict, chai prakan district, chiang mai province, Thailand. This temple is on a hill but not high.
Which temple do I visit? I like to study the history of the temples I visit. The history of Phra That Chom Khiri temple I read is one of the old temples in this district. This temple was built in A.D. 1909 and later became an abandoned temple. Until the year A.D. 1934, Kruba Srivichai, a monk who was revered by people in northern Thailand in the past, restored this temple. By joining with the villagers in the area, helping to restore the temple until it becomes Phra That Chom Khiri temple to the present day.
Inside Phra That Chom Khiri temple there are chapel, pagoda, meditation buildings, monks' cloisters and many Buddha images. And the highlight of this temple is the stairs going up and down the hill to pay respects to the Buddha image and the holy well below. Which, the stairs are made in the style of king of Nagas statues.

สวัสดีทุกๆคนครับ วันนี้ผมและภรรยา ได้มีโอกาส ไปเยี่ยมชมสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว และวัดต่างๆ ในอำเภอไชยปราการ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เราเคยไปหลายวัด ในอำเภอไชยปราการ เมื่อสองเดือนก่อน แต่วันนี้เราตั้งใจ จะไปสถานที่ท่องเที่ยว และวัดในอำเภอนี้ ซึ่งเราไม่เคยไป วัดไทยที่ผมและภรรยาไป และอยากแนะนำในวันนี้ ชื่อว่า วัดพระธาตุจอมคีรี วัดนี้เป็นวัดที่สองของทริปอำเภอไชยปราการของเรา วัดพระธาตุจอมคีรี ตั้งอยู่ที่ ตำบลแม่ทะลบ อำเภอไชยปราการ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ประเทศไทย วัดนี้อยู่บนเนินเขา แต่ไม่สูงนัก
ผมไปวัดไหน ผมชอบศึกษาประวัติศาสตร์ของวัดที่ผมไป ประวัติวัดพระธาตุจอมคีรี ที่ผมอ่านเป็นวัดเก่าแก่วัดหนึ่งในเขตนี้ วัดนี้สร้างเมื่อ พ.ศ. 2452 ต่อมากลายเป็นวัดร้าง จนกระทั่งในปี พ.ศ. 2477 ครูบาศรีวิชัย พระสงฆ์ซึ่งเป็นที่เคารพนับถือ ของชาวภาคเหนือในอดีต ได้บูรณะวัดแห่งนี้ โดยร่วมกับชาวบ้าน ในพื้นที่ช่วยกันบูรณปฏิสังขรณ์วัด จนเป็นวัดพระธาตุจอมคีรี จนถึงปัจจุบัน
ภายในวัดพระธาตุจอมคีรี มีอุโบสถ เจดีย์ อาคารปฏิบัติธรรม กุฏิสงฆ์ และ พระพุทธรูปหลายองค์ และ จุดเด่นของวัดนี้ คือมีบันได ขึ้นลงเขา เพื่อสักการะพระพุทธรูป และ บ่อน้ำศักดิ์สิทธิ์ เบื้องล่าง ซึ่งบันไดทำเป็น รูปพญานาค
