My home garden #17 : Planting new vegetables from seeds this week and vegetables I planted last month.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. I grow many kinds of vegetables in my home garden. Of course they are all chemical free vegetables. These vegetables are for my wife to pick and cook. The food she cooked for our family. In my free time, I like to walk around the home garden. And plant new vegetables to replace the old vegetables that have withered too. This week I had some free time, after my family and I had just finished harvesting the longans and pruning them last week. So I started planting various vegetables again. Most of the vegetable seeds, I order from online stores, because they are cheap. But there are some vegetables I didn't buy seeds such as yardlong beans and winged beans. I use their seeds from old yardlong beans or old winged beans. Mostly I like planted vegetables in plastic pots. To prevent snails from eating vegetable seedlings. But some vegetables I grow in the soil too. This time I planted yardlong beans and japanese cucumbers, winter melon, luffa cylindrical and chinese bitter gourd. There are only yardlong beans that I use seeds from old yardlong beans. But for other vegetables, I buy seeds from online store. And this time I planted vegetables in both plastic pots and planted vegetables in soil. These are the seeds of vegetables used for planting.

Finally I took everyone to see some of the vegetables in the home garden. Vegetables I planted last month. Most of them I moved the plastic pots to the soil. Some vegetables grow. But some vegetables snails eat the leaves and young leaves. I have a problem with snails eating my vegetables. Even though I try to protect my vegetables from them. But I don't want to use chemicals on the vegetables I grow in my home garden. Because I want my family and I to eat chemical free vegetables for health.

Thank you 🙏 Have a great day 😊
Using seeds from your old yardlong beans is such a win. Those snails must think your garden is a buffet, but a ring of crushed eggshells or coffee grounds around each plant can slow them down, and a small cup of beer sunk into the soil will lure many at night. Raising pots on stands and watering in the morning helps too since the surface is drier when they come out. Have you tried copper tape around the pot rims or the eggshell trick yet?
