Another day of delicious food and nice atmosphere with my wife.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Yesterday I shared a look into a simple dishes and local restaurant in my district. For this post, I want to take you on a Thai food journey—this time, paired with a beautiful, scenic backdrop of lush rice fields. My wife and I have some free time again today. Now that the family longan orchard has been harvested and pruned in preparation for next year’s season, we are mostly free for the rest of the year. Our only remaining task is harvesting rice for our own household consumption next year. So, we invited each other to chill and get some food first this late morning (Before I take you to a restaurant with a rice field atmosphere). Our late morning snack consists of a refreshing iced beverage and a few delicious bakery items. We bought them from a small coffee shop at Lotus's.

After our food has settled, let's head to a restaurant with a beautiful rice field view. From the main road, we'll continue driving along the countryside road until we reach the restaurant.

We selected our seats at what we considered the finest vantage point for the rice field views. The scenic green fields contrast beautifully with the sky, notwithstanding the slightly overcast conditions.

For our lunch, we had Thai shrimp paste fried rrice topped sweet pork, dried shrimp, fried egg, deep-fried Chinese sausage and sliced cucumber, yardlong beans, and sour mango. Another delicious and popular Thai dish served with a small bowl of hot clear soup. Thais call this dish "Khao Khluk Kapi". So, it was another happy day, enjoying delicious food and a great atmosphere.
