A simple life and simple food from vegetables in our longan orchard and home garden with family.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. My wife and I don't have any plans and work to do today. We are not going anywhere except to drop our granddaughter and autistic son off at school. And pick up the kids from school in the afternoon. And remaining at our home in countryside and we continue to embrace the simple way of life. After we sprayed liquid fertilizer on our longan trees earlier last week, we haven't been back to our family's longan orchard yet. So today we walked to our longan orchard in the late morning (about 600 meters). We walked around the our longan orchard and checked on the longan trees a week after the liquid fertilizer application.
I'll take you to see some of the longan trees in our longan orchard. None of the longan trees have flowers now and all the flowers have turned into fruits. And these longan fruit is about 1 centimeter in size.

Right now in our longan garden, the few mango trees I planted for my family to eat are now bearing fruit, I think they will be ready to eat in no time.

In addition, the few olive trees we planted in the longan orchard for eat, now they are bearing fruit too.

However right now, a few banana and papaya trees in this longan orchard haven't borne fruit yet. And right now, many types of vegetables in the longan orchard are growing well during the rainy season. These are the fresh vegetables we picked from our longan orchard to use in cooking and store for cooking on another day too.
There are several ceylon spinach plants growing in various parts of our longan orchard. Since they haven't flowered yet, we only picked their young shoots for cooking.

Bitter gourds and small bitter gourds also grow in many areas of our longan orchard now, and we pick them to cook too. But they were bitter, so my wife kept them to cook on other day.

There are a few spur chili plants in our longan orchard that are bearing fruit, we still picked some spur chilis before going home.

Let's walk home, we already got all the vegetables from longan orchard.

When we arrived home, my wife was still picking the flowers of ceylon spinach from the home garden I tried planting in a 12-inch plastic pot to use for cooking this time too.

Although the banana trees in the longan orchard haven't borne fruit yet, but several banana trees in our home garden are currently bearing fruit.

Concluding with a simple meal, my wife cooked a sour soup featuring minced pork, along with the young shoots and flowers of the ceylon spinach.
The young shoots and flowers of the ceylon spinach is from our longan orchard and home garden. And we bought the pork from a mobile grocery truck.
