Seville-Roma 5-2 after penalties: the Andalusians win the Europa League.

The Puskas Arena in Budapest hosted an exciting and eventful Europa League final between Seville and Roma. The two teams faced each other for 120 minutes (146! the longest European match ever) without holding back, but in the end the trophy went to the Spaniards who won on penalties with a score of 5-2. Seville thus won its seventh Europa League in its history, confirming itself as the undisputed king of the competition. Roma started the match better and took the lead with a great shot from Dybala from outside the box that went under the crossbar. Seville reacted and hit a post with Rakitic. In the second half, the Andalusians found the equalizer thanks to an own goal by Mancini who deflected a cross from Acuña into his own net. The match became increasingly tense and hard-fought, with both teams looking for the winning goal without success. In extra time, Roma came close to a coup with a crossbar from Smallin, but on penalties Mancini and Ibanez's mistakes were decisive in handing the trophy to Seville.

This match was a great challenge between two teams that gave everything to win the Europa League. Roma fought until the end and honoured the competition, but it was not enough to bring home the cup. After penalties, Seville also wins this edition of the Europa League and goes up to 7, while Roma laments some questionable decisions and returns home with the great merit of having played it until the end.

Sevilla are top-notch when it comes to winning the Europa League title, and they made the special one feel less special last night 😂
