Exploring Gold Coast, Australia: Nature's Beauty in Abundance
The Gold Coast, Australia's sixth largest city and a renowned Queensland holiday destination, has long been recognized for its beaches. If you've read any of my previous writings, you'll know that it's about much more than its beautiful beaches. That's it for Gold Coast attractions that can be seen in less than a week. And, I figured it'd be best if I shared them all with you.
I'll not only tell you what to do in Gold Coast, but also how to get there, what to expect, and where to stay. You could think of this as a short travel guide to the Gold Coast. So, without further ado, let us begin.
Hit the Beaches
Isn't that the obvious thing to do on the Gold Coast? This list would be incomplete without noting that breakthrough. Start your favorite activity on one of the several Gold Coast beaches available here.
Of course, surfing is the most popular activity on these beaches. If you don't know how to surf, simply enroll in one of the many surf schools located on their beaches. At Kiara Beach, go snorkeling or scuba diving. Embark on a whale-watching cruise. Maybe you should take a jet ski ride across those seas. That's all there is to it when it comes to those beaches. They're also ideal for late-night strolls.
Don't miss out on the delicious restaurants that line these beaches. The Surf Club at Currumbin Beach and the Café Bar de Bar in Coolangatta are two places I highly recommend. Consider the extra flavor to the dish from the sea breeze.
The Great Barrier Reef is worth seeing
The Epic Reef, which stretches for 2300 kilometers down the Queensland coast, is a must-see for anybody visiting the Gold Coast. The best thing is that you not only get to explore the seas, but you also get to have a scenic seaplane journey with incredible vistas. Plan a trip to Lady Elliot Island for a day or two. While snorkeling or diving to see Nemo's home, swim alongside the turtles. Believe me when I claim that the world is vibrant.
Hot Air Ballooning is a fun activity to try
"The Gold Coast is much more than just beaches," says the first paragraph of the statement. In the Gold Coast, you get what you get when you go hot air ballooning. A bird's eye view of the gorgeous hinterland - with its lush green fields, numerous rays of sun Lakes light up, kangaroos move around and dream - there's nothing you won't appreciate from that hot air balloon.
Anyone who has seen one of my most popular posts has already signed up for this activity. Check it out to learn more about how to book a Hot Air Balloon Ride, which is undoubtedly one of the most popular Gold Coast attractions.
The Hinterland of the Gold Coast is a must-see
Discover what lies on the opposite side of the Gold Beachfront coast on a day trip. Hiking or bird watching in a national park on the Gold Coast. Beautiful mountains, lush green valleys, Ummatin waterfalls, and incredible wildlife will rejuvenate and delight you.
In Springbrook National Park, I did some investigating. Mount Tambourine or Lamington National Park are also worth a visit. For those who want to spend more time here, there are also camping alternatives. If you're camping, those noisy expeditions can be worthwhile; you might even come across luminous caves on the Natural Bridge.
Choose a Gold Coast Theme Park
Visit one of the Gold Coast's many theme parks to add some excitement to your trip. Try Sea World or Wet n Wild Park if you enjoy being wet and wild. Try Mini Snow Park if you enjoy snow.
I visited Dreamworld, where I completed a wet and dry segment as well as a fun animal section. Swapna Lok Boots also has a section dedicated to movies, containing characters such as Shrek and Puss in Boots. This is Australia's largest theme park, by the way.
I can't wait to return again to the Gold Coast, a coastal city in Queensland's southeast region, situated between the state capital of Brisbane to the north and the state boundary of New South Wales to the south.

Oh I really miss Australia. I´ve spent a lot of time over there. Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast are my favourite spots.
I also missed some dazzling big budget Gold Coast theme parks and small, hilariously kitsch museums. I will definitely cover them in my next visit.
These are great photos! That road along the mountainside looks like it would be the best views of the water.
